Hard Cheese Butter Punched Making Mold With Follower Press 1,2 liters

This was more sturdy than other basket molds I have. It was able to hold 2 pounds of cheese and was pressed with 60 pounds of weight in my new press. Like other basket molds, make sure to flip halfway thru each weight time to take care of ridges. you may still need to cut off a ridge left in cheese if the follower doesn't get to a certain point.

We make curd/paneer every day. Previously to this it was just free form in a strainer and draining cloth. But our cow gives so much milk I figured to get a mold so that when we froze the curd it would pack easier in the freezer if they were all same shape.The mold works well enough. We use the same strainer cloth (a large handkerchief) in the mold and then put a 5 pound weight on the top piece.The only complaint I would have is that the top piece (is it called the piston?) is smaller in circumference than the bottom mold so that the curd sticks out some at the top. Not really big deal when we are eating it fresh but a bit obnoxious for freezing it. Still, for a first mold, it's good enough. I'll keep using it till I can find a square/rectangular one.

The mole is fine, just too hard to take cheese out of it intact as whole. Need instruction with trouble shooting manu.
