How strong is it? Does it tear up easily? I'm planning to use it as a stage frame.

It is fairly strong. It doesn’t rip easily. I used it for wall decoration and door cover for a party.

What type of tape or adhesive would keep this on a wall?

I used sticky putty, thumb tacks and regular scotch tape depending on which wall I was sticking it to. They all work fine. You just have to use a bit more of the tape

Does the peel n stick cover all 4' x 30' backing?

It doesn't actually peel to stick. Its just a big sheet of plastic, so on a window it should 'stick' then just 'peel' off. I used it on cardboard with tape and worked great.
