I purchased the Amazon Basics 13mm yoga mat looking for something with good cushioning, and this mat definitely delivers on that front. It's quite thick and provides a very comfortable surface for my yoga practice, especially for poses that put pressure on joints. One of the things I really appreciate is that it lays out flat almost immediately after unrolling, with no annoying curled edges to deal with. The grip is also excellent – it stays firmly in place on my tiled floor throughout my practice, without any slipping or sliding, which is crucial for stability and safety. While the 13mm thickness is very comfortable, it is quite substantial. For most general yoga practices, I think a 6mm or 8mm thickness might be more versatile and easier to carry around. However, if maximum cushioning and comfort are your priority, or if you have specific joint concerns, this 13mm mat is a great option. Overall, it's a good quality, comfortable, and grippy mat, though potential buyers should consider if the 13mm thickness is suitable for their specific needs compared to slightly thinner options.

The mat is thick but isbvery comfortable due to the thickness and doesnt impact my heels and provides soft landing.

Very thick (which is good) but also can be very slippery on marble floors and can get damaged easily

I have been using this mat for a few weeks now doing 300 sit-ups almost daily and 100s of leg raises and my tailbone doesn't hurt at all. This is one of the questions I had before buying this product as I was also considering to buy a sit-up wedge instead of this product and glad I didn't as I can do a lot more exercises on this mat and it cushions the tailbone. I didn't think the foam would be thick enough for that, but it is. I've also checked out poor ratings on this product before buying and found that users complained that the product tears for them after a few uses when doing motion exercises. I don't do any motion exercises and with that said it has no tears for me and I find it durable for the exercises I'm doing. Given the other user ratings of tears when doing motion exercises, I would advise to take that into consideration if you plan on doing those types of exercises. Overall great product and a great price. Highly recommended by me.

Ich habe die Yogamatte nun seit 2023 im Einsatz und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit meinem Kauf. Hier meine Eindrücke im Detail: Die Matte wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet. Das Material fühlt sich angenehm auf der Haut an und hat keinen unangenehmen chemischen Geruch, wie es bei manchen günstigeren Matten der Fall ist. Sie ist rutschfest, was mir besonderes wichtig ist. Mit einer Dicke von 1,3 cm bietet die Matte eine gute Balance zwischen Dämpfung und Stabilität. Ich spüre den Boden bei stehenden Posen gut, ohne dass es unangenehm wird. Auch bei längerem Sitzen oder Knien ist ausreichend Polsterung . Die Matte lässt sich mit einem feuchten Tuch problemlos reinigen. Bisher haben sich keine Flecken oder Abnutzungen gezeigt. Fazit: Insgesamt eine tolle Yogamatte mit gutem Grip, ausreichender Dämpfung und einem hochwertigen Gefühl. Für Anfänger wie auch Fortgeschrittene eine klare Empfehlung.
