Lovely book but my little one hasn’t been asking for it too often
A very simple book with a nice moral. Help the needy. I loved the book more than my toddler. He did enjoy the rhymes but for some reason doesn’t request for this one as much as he asks for some other JD books

If u have read a lot of Julia Donaldson then this is just another one of them.... But illustrations makes it worth an addition to kids library

This a a wonderful version of the story. My year 1/2 class loved it. They really engaged with the story and the rhythm. We did a lot of work around this story.

Not sure if we're "supposed to" but we read this to my daughter in a lullaby singsong voice. She murmurs after each reading, "Shen is brave" then curls up and go to sleep. Win-win for a positive message and relaxing story!!

The rhymes are great and the pictures are amazing. it's so magical! Highly recommend! 5/5 stars 👍
