Handy little gadget to have in the kitchen. Even though it’s plastic it does have a sturdy feel to it. The suction cup at the bottom can slip when using the sharpener (minus 1 star) but being careful, you can hold the base down when drawing the knife towards you giving a sturdy feel. When sharpening a knife you can see the grindings on each pass leaving a nice sharp edge. If your knife is blunt it may take a few passes to sharpen but will do the task for you. Overall, with a little care it’s a handy tool to have around.

What a brilliant gadget. When my son seen it at Christmas as I was trying to sharpen my carving knife, he said "NO mum you can't use that it is too dangerous for you " . I ended up giving him my set of knives and the sharpener and he was so happy he sharpened everything in his house. I am happy he liked it as I am partially sighted and I also have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. This gadget is a game changer for people who can use it safely. Would recommend this item to everyone well worth the money. And my son is very happy, I took am happy to have parted with it and the knives are now out of my house if I need anything else sharpened I have to ask my lovely son... 😍
