Adie Large Rear Black Wire Cycle Basket + Brackets

Such great value for money & just what I wanted - fits perfectly on my rear pannier.I'm short - 5'2" & have a small frame bike & pannier bags always catch my heels. Other bags I've tried dont hold quite as much as I'd like & seem to flop about on pannier.This basket can easily take my back pack - secured with bungee cord across top - perfect!The fixings seemed a little over-engineered - I've just secured with cable ties.xx

Great value largish carrier. I got this to replace a smaller Adie metal basket where the wires had detached at the weld points. However this was after several years of heavy (ab)use - almost certainly exceeding any spec, so I can't complain. I expect this one to last similarly e.g. not forever, and that's fine at this price.I think the only way to beat this for value would be to find / pinch a basket from the supermarket, which would be free and stronger. There is a stronger-looking carrier of similar size available (Basil Cento Aluminium) but this is about four times the price and oddly doesn't seem to be rated for much heavier loads.Attaching: the metal bars and bolts provided for gripping a pannier rack may well not work for you. As everyone says, you can just DIY with strong cable ties (my last was attached like this). If you want to do a proper job you may need to drill some metal or make your own mountings. Arrived on time and was very easy to fit, I used the bolts and fittings supplied along with a couple of cable ties. I've used it to carry some shopping a few times, it seems to be sturdy and work well.

Have this on the panniers on my bike to put my backpack in when I go to work. Probably doesn't make me as streamlined as other cyclists but I hate getting a sweaty back from my bag when cycling. Handy to be able to put parcels in and to be able to take off layers when cycling and just fling them behind. Very sturdy and easy to attach my rear light go. I've secured it with black cable ties for some extra reassurance. I love it.

This is the second of these racks I've bought. Not bad value; although still cannot see how you fit onto cycle rack using the attachments that are supplied!! No worries, I just use electricians wires to hold it secure. Beware, the basket is quite tall, so you have to make sure you lift you leg high enough to clear the basket when mounting/dismounting ( if have crossbar).

I chose this basket for taking home my harvest from my allotment. Its a good size and very sturdy. I read the mixed previous reviews about the brackets being unsuitable. I found the brackets use-able, i didn’t have to alter them and the hold the basket on very well. I can see why they could be rubbish, it took a while for me to find a way to secure them adequately but once I had this basket isn't shifting. I would recommend this item.

While the basket will serve its purpose it was delivered in a large cardboard box sealed only by two long strips and was wide open. The finish of the item is not 100% perfect but it will do as its only a basket for the bike but it would have been nice to have some care to the finish

Very nice product and easy to put it on the bike. I have a folding electric bike. The wheels are 20 inches, so the basket fit perfect. I used some tie wrap to make more secure. I recommend.
