Fresh Wave Odor Eliminating Packs, 6-Pack with Pod Case, Original

We live in Florida, and our HOA rules force us to store our garbage bins in the garage, and our architectural committee forbids retractable garage door screens, so we are faced with three choices. 1) We can live with the stench of rotten garbage, 2) We can leave our garage doors open, or 3) We can employ a deodorization strategy. We use these Fresh Wave Pods as part of a four pronged attack on odor which keeps our garage smelling fresh and clean. They are self sticking so we have two of them mounted on the cinder block above the can. Since they are refillable we can install fresh packets on a monthly basis, or as needed. As a result our garage is always fresh and clean smelling.

The Fresh Wave Odor Eliminating garbage can stick ons in Original are very nice! My cans have closing lids and are quite a large size so sometimes smell. I wasted money on the Febreeze Lavender scented ones which were so overpowering with the fake chemical smell that they made me want to throw up! The Original scent on these is made up of natural products which leaves a natural fresh scent that doesn't overwhelm but gets the job done as far as getting rid of garbage smell. I highly recommend them! I bought one with a pack of 6 refills and after I had tried it for a few days I bought another for my recycle can. Some people said they had problems with them sticking, but so far, so good. Maybe they are overstuffing the can? I will continue to keep using these!

I love the smell of lavendar, but I didn't want an overly "perfumy" type scent. The scent is a bit strong if you put it to your nose and smell it, but if you put it in the pod case and leave it somewhere inconspicuous, it gives just the right amount of scent. I suppose it absorbs odor as well, but I have been using these in conjunction with activated bamboo air purifying bags. We have two cats in the house full-time, and our dog comes in when there's bad weather, or he's cold, or he's too hot, or he misses us, or we miss him ... He may be somewhat spoiled. Anyway, even with keeping the litter box clean and washing the dog at regular intervals, there's still an odor associated with having pets in the house. I feel that this particular product is helpful in keeping the odor down, it also provides an alternate scent that is much more pleasant to breathe in, and best of all it contains no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) that oftentimes prove to be unpleasant and even harmful to pets.

After reading the many reviews for the different products by this brand, I was excited to try a few different items. I thought the items were a little bit costly, especially for the amount of item received. But the reviews couldn't be wrong, correct? When I received the beads I did not use the included plastic holder for the little packets of scented beads. I took one package per dresser drawer, I also put one in the bottom of my bathroom. Garbage can – underneath the bag, of course – then I would put the rest of them in places around the house, where I wanted people to get a nice with of fresh air without it being overwhelming. Sadly, it was underwhelming. There was a strong fragrance, the first 72 hours as the beads were exposed to air, so that gave me a false sense of hope, after that, the smell got weaker and weaker, but it was not eliminating the odors I assumed it would. After all, this was supposed to be an item that helped eliminate odors not just cover them up. Especially when I used them in dresser drawers. Even after washing clothes used at the restaurant, there was still a restaurant smell. Even though my husband is the manager, you still bring the smell home with you. After washing everything thoroughly, I thought these little packets would help finish the job off, so he did not always smell like a restaurant . That was not the case. It smelled like I had sprayed his clothing with a strong air freshener that slowly were off, and the old smell reemerged. As for the rest of the house, it was a very similar thing, it smelled very strong the first few days, got weaker, but didn't do much else. Very similar to using an air freshener. I was not looking to eradicate, horrifically, strong odors, I was not looking for this item to do miracles, I was just hoping it would provide basic freshness and odor control of day-to-day life and living. I will give it three stars, because I like the packaging, and I believe if the advertisement is a tiny bit, more honest, and the price point was a little more realistic for what you get, this company could do better. But it looks like they do OK, even though there are reviews like mine. I'm just being honest though. I don't like spending that much money for items that from as the world and provide basically nothing.

Use it in the car-subtle smell but you can tell it is there. My car is big so I have two. I like the case, size & refills.

I’ve used the scent beads before, like the ones you’d leave in the closet and loved it. Thought to try this for a stinky trash can. It doesn’t stay on the lid. The top constantly opens up and then it drops the beads into the trash and then I’d have to use a new one, no matter what I do. I’ve tried tapping it shut to see if it can just hold (thinking it’s just the clasp) but the two pack I got - both of them do it. So if it’s for another use where you won’t be opening and closing often then I’m sure it’s fine. But it was advertised to help with a stinky trash smell and it doesn’t stay so it’s pointless IMO. the scent itself is lovely and light (original) and when it worked for the first 10 mins i couldn’t smell the trash.

The idea is great, but the reality is not. There is basically zero scent at all. I cannot tell if it’s doing anything. Will definitely not repurchase.

The holder was a good fit for my whirlpool trash compactor. Helps to make the garbage smell sweet.

This product works great. We have used the first pack and, after several weeks, our garbage can shows no evidence of any smells. So far, the little container holding the packets with the 3M sticker is holding well.

My baby's room smelled bad from us making the rookie mistake of leaving diapers in the diaper pail for too long. After using the Fresh Wave Odor removing pack my baby's room smells normal and non-offensive. Great product. Will buy again in the future.

I found these a little disappointing. I was hoping for something with a stronger scent....I would look for something else next time.

I love Fresh Wave, the scent is not overpowering at all and is natural and safe. I am on the second bottle of the room spray, and just received the pods and pod holder. The holder is what stands out, it can be discretely mounted with their tape. I highly recommend their products, and the original scent is my preference
