For fans who can't get enough Daria
Sometimes a spin-off series can be a complete miss. However, I thought the Beavis & Butt-head spin-off series "Daria" (1997-2001) was a brilliant hit, if not superior to the original. And just as the Beavis & Butt-head franchise spawned a few books with the same art and humor of the series ("EnSUCKlopedia", "Change It, This Sucks!", etc.), there were at least two Daria books: "The Daria Diaries" and "The Daria Database". Both Daria books contain an assortment of humor based on the characters and places of the series itself. Think of them as scrapbooks from the Daria universe. Some of the specific things you'll find in "The Daria Diaries" include a scenic map of Lawndale, an extensive directory of the Mall of the Millennium, Britney & Kevin's love letters, class notes passed between various characters, essays from Mr. O'Neil's English class students, Jake & Helen's wedding vows, detailed explorations of the bedrooms of Daria and Quinn, outlines for paper dolls of the Lawndale High Fashion Club, and a whole lot more. The characters and humor are completely consistent with what you see in the series. And true to the book title, The Daria Diaries also include some diary entries as written by Daria. If you love Daria or know somebody who does, and find that the 5 seasons of Daria is never enough, then get this book!

Nice
It's nice to have a book at all that has anything to do with this show, honestly. It's fun and full of color, a few short Daria-narrarated pages, filled with notes by other characters, a map of Lawndale, a cool picture of daria's room. The majority of it is really a compilation of notes, letters, essays, postcards, etc. by other characters in the show. So if you're looking for something that's pure Daria and going into the depths of her mind, you won't find it here. You might never find it. If you're looking for insight of the details in the overall show with all other character's included, you'll like this little book. I guess it's a bit mislabeled in that way. It's less of a "diary" and more of a scrapbook. It's lovely just the same. But short. Just do yourself a favor and don't buy it for more than 20 bucks.

Did Not Disappoint
This was a gift for family member and that person really enjoyed it. That person had been trying to get Daria merchandise for several years. I was glad to find this and give it for gift. Win-Win!

It's cool
As a HUGE fan of the show, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's got all the sarcasm and humor of the show while giving you a look inside the world of Lawndale and its residents. This is especially good for someone who is just now getting into the series and still learning the characters.

Better then I could ask for
Despite being a very old published book I found it to be in almost perfect condition with only a little fading due to just aging. Very happy with purchase

Daria's view
The Daria Diaries is a book based on the still popular MTV show 'Daria which covers Darias first year at Lawndale. Daria is a geeky and sometimes bitchy girl who uses sarcasm as a survival skill. She is brainy and skilful with words but not very social as she can't find anything that really appeals to her She begins by starting her diary in her room explaining in her own dry and sarcastic manner about her new school by summarising the other students in her school in her usual observational way including her new best friend Jane Lane who is 6 months older than her and is a great artist whose family life is difficult to say the least. She writes about school work and the typical way other girls are obsessed with fashion and the boys obsessed with sport. Everything gets a mention in the book from her parents to her sister Quinn who likes to tell people that her sister is her cousin. What I liked about the book was the section where Daria rewrites classic children's books to remove the fairy tale element and replace it with something similar to real life. The book includes tours of bedrooms and ends with Daria falling asleep in hers. I first heard about this book through the Daria Fandom Blog, I brought it as I enjoyed the original TV Series but the price was a bit high and had to be imported from America. The print quality is a bit over shaded.
