Sound One Boom Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black)

I was looking for a Bluetooth Speaker and was recommended the Sound One Bluetooth Speaker by a close friend who’d used another model from Sound One and he was quite insistent that their speakers were very good. I did my research and was convinced so I bought this. I have used the speakers for a few days and below are my observations and review for this product:Look, Feel and Functionality:● The Speakers are bigger than I thought they’d be. They are also heavier than normal Bluetooth speakers of this size. For me this translates into bigger magnets on speaker and heavier components.● The Speakers feel and look like the premium product that they are. There’s nothing local or cheap about the looks. The speakers look stylish and futuristic and I’ve pleased to keep it out as a showpiece in my drawing room even when I’m not using it. The finishing on the product is very good and the black and silver combo looks great.● The Speakers are easy to configure and use. Just press the Power button for 2-3 seconds and the Speakers jump to life with a generic switching on music and a blue light can be observed as indicator. On the phone when you switch on Bluetooth on your phone, the device shows the Speaker as “Sound One” on your phone. On selecting, it says pairing for a couple of seconds the Speakers were connected within seconds and then auto-connects every time when the speakers and Bluetooth are ON. There were no problems and no searching issues.● Audio Quality: Audio is clear and crisp and the bass is deep and heavy. The audio level is very loud at full levels and sufficient to hold a dance party in a decent sized room. Was very glad that these don’t distort at full unlike a few I’ve seen. I’ve tried streaming YouTube, Amazon Prime Music and from my phone. It’s absolutely crystal clear, a very good balance between Clarity and power. I know a few friends whose only criteria is loudness even with distortion, but I love my “instrumentals” and the experience with these speakers was divine. The controls are adequate and sure and built in a rugged and strong way so that it is rain-proof, splash-proof and dust proof, so great for outdoor parties. Just don’t drop them into water, they’re water resistant not water proof. The stereo effect is great and overall music experience is outstanding. The charge lasts between 5-6 hours and RMS output is 6 Watts.● The Sound One Boom speakers have an inbuilt mike and they can be used for hands-free calling and music call also be played out from TF-Card. These speakers can also be connected via Aux Cable and have FM radio (NOTE: You’ve got to use the provided USB cable as the antenna by plugging it into the USB slot while using FM radio, else all you’re going to hear is a buzzing noise). So there’s a lot of flexibility and multi-functionality which I am really looking forward to be using regularly. The 1 Year company warranty is a confidence booster and I’ll update later on this after using for a longer time.Verdict:Go for it. The audio quality and functionality are unbeatable and make the Sound One Boom speakers reasonably priced. I believe they’re actually priced and launched at 2990/- I’m glad I purchased at the introductory price of 1790/- and got a great deal.

Not good at all. The control buttons are very badly designed. You have to press them really hard to get any response. The provided USB cable is very short and therefore, it is difficult to charge the device. Sound quality is just ok, nothing exceptional. As per product information page, FM radio is there. However, there is no FM radio. The whole product design is bad. I have returned the item and asked for a refund.

Sound quality is very nice for this price range(800)but speakers need to be burnt in to produce really good sound.The boom names lives up to the hype and in the right spot its crazy how much bass something this small produces. The sound quality isn't the best but with this amount of bass it's going to overpower the highs anyway. Sad though that amazon sent me a used product and there were no USB or aux cables. Product had scratches on it as well.0 stars for seller 5 stars for this product if it was new.Used it for a while in my home and car and seemed nice could even feel the beat in my cqr with the windows down. but when i opened the back and tried plugging in an aux cable i found the port was stuck inside the speaker and the cable wouldn't fit in. No wonder they didnt bundle cables with this speaker.Returned it to amazon and got a full refund.

The battery does not last half an hour and a strange sound ,like yr phone ringing is emitted during the song duration continuously. Sound quality is good. I pressume, not to experiment with cheaper versions and stick to regular brands like JBL, Sony etc

There are other equally good available in mkt., comparatively it's costlier..

This speaker has issues with its Bluetooth connection, the response time is late as when u play something the speaker takes more time to respond. The sound is okay but gets distorted while playing at high levels. I bought this speaker and it lasted for a fortnight, and the speaker died.
