GYO (The Death Stench Creeps): Volume 1

This was an interesting story, the invasion of land walking sharks and other fish, the root cause of it all, the two leads trying to survive. However although it ended on a cliffhanger, I don't feel compelled to hunt down the other volumes and am happy to leave it as a one shot. Sharks on land is a fun idea but I don't need to read an entire series on it.

Another great book by Junji Ito.

Junji Ito is one of the greatest manga writers/artists ever to have lived! This book proves that point.

Dead fish mounted on weird legs stalk the streets and smell really bad in this crazy Junji Ito manga. If you want to see dead fish attacking nearly naked women then this is the manga for you.

Gyo from the master of nasty horror manga, Junji Ito. You might be familiar with Uzumaki. Gyo is equally twisted!! Follow Tadashi and Kaori as they try to get to the cause of the stench....of death! Filled with highly detailed grotesque artwork, you almost have to squint at its foulness...I mean creepy fish with legs? Even the sound effects of the fish creeping around are weird, gross and disturbing. Especially the gas..... You can almost smell it! A must for horror fans! Don't expect dense characterisation here, expect a high ick factor. You cannot beat crazed scientists messing with germs and rotting fish...... Part of the Viz editors choice series.
