THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT A DIGITAL TIMER BEFORE YOU BUY ONE - The Display: Most digital timers look great online, but the truth is that many are unreadable from as little as 3 or 4 feet away. The Chef Amori Timer Display is LARGE and easy to read from clear across the room. Better displays do cost a little more, but the easy readability makes them well worth the added investment. - The Battery: Buy a Timer that uses low cost AAA batteries. Avoid timers that use button cells because they are costly to replace, short lived, and hard to find. Chef Amori Digital timers have an Automatic Battery Saver circuit that extends battery life without the need for a power switch. 1 AAA Battery is included with each timer to get you timing right away. - A Manufacturer's Confidence in their product speaks volumes about their quality. Chef Amori timers are eligible for a free replacement program (details below) that covers defects and accidental damage. This assures you of the best quality timer you can buy, because it demands that we use only the highest quality components. Why Chef Amori Timers Are Your VERY BEST Value... - Free Replacement Program that even covers Accidental Damage!- Large, Easy-To-Read Display!- Low Cost Replacement Batteries! I'm giving the timer a five star rating because it has lived up to all of my expectations!
I bought this Chef Amori egg timer to use in my kitchen, and it has been a great little timer. It's alarm is loud enough for me to hear it even when I'm in other parts of the house tending to kids or doing housework.I keep the timer on my fridge door, using the magnet on the back of the timer. That way, I always know right where it is when I need it. In my house, our kitchen, dining room and living room are one LARGE common area. The Jumbo sized digits on this timer are readable from anywhere in those 3 rooms, which is really nice because I can just glance over at the timer from anywhere to see how much time is left before my homemade bread is done rising, or when my current batch of cupcakes will be done baking. Other timers I've tried I had to go back into the kitchen and get close to read, but this one saves me a lot of steps by being readable from far away. It's also great for timing the kids when they've been naughty and have to have a little time out in the corner... no more asking 'Is my time up yet?'... they know that their time isn't up until they hear the timer beeping. One thing I really like is the Lifetime Warranty that is available for this timer. All I had to do was follow the directions in the instruction sheet that came with the timer and register online to increase the warranty from the normal 90 days to a lifetime warranty. I haven't had to use the warranty, but it says it covers even accidental damage to the timer. It's nice to know I've bought a product that is built well enough that the company is willing to back it up with a lifetime warranty. The timer has a nice solid feel to it, and even though it has a big display, it fits easily in my hand. The buttons actually kind of curve down from the front onto the bottom of the timer, which makes it real easy to operate the buttons with the same hand I'm holding it with.I like the memory feature too. I do a lot of baking, and sometimes I have 4 or 5 batches of cupcakes or cookies to bake. All I have to do is set the timer for the first batch, and then each time a batch is done baking and the Alarm goes off, I just hit the 'Stop' button. The timer instantly resets back to the same time I set for the 1st batch... that's a really handy feature. I just take the done batch out, pop the next batch in the oven and hit the 'Start' button on the timer, no need to set the time all over again.I'm giving the timer a five star rating because it has lived up to all of my expectations, and it has been a great addition to my kitchen.

A GREAT classroom Timer!
I use this Timer as a classroom timer, and it works great for that. I put a small pin in the wall next to the blackboard in my classroom, and the timer's folding hook lets it hang right there in full view of everyone. The large display is readable throughout the classroom, and the loud alarm is easy for all my students to hear. There is never any doubt when the test time is up.I also like the fact that it uses a single AAA battery, not some itty bitty button cell that costs a fortune to buy.I would recommend this timer to anyone, especially to teachers looking for a good classroom timer. It makes a great kitchen timer also. I bought 2 of these so I would have one at home and one at school. Like others here have said, I also keep mine on the refrigerator at home using the magnet on the back of the clip. Keeps it out of the way but easy to find when I need it.

Excellent customer service
Upon receipt of the clock the display was not functioning properly. I immediately contacted Chef Amori after completing the simple product registration. They instructed me to request a replacement through Amazon. Amazon would only issue a refund. I explained this to the rep at Chef Amori and he contacted Amazon. He arranged for Amazon to send me a replacement, and apologized for the mis-understanding. If the clock is defective upon receipt from Amazon you will have to request a refund and re-order another. So, I'm waiting for the replacement. Excellent, prompt customer service. I would highly recommend dealing with this company.I received the replacement yesterday and it is working fine. Excellent customer service.

Good all-around timer, easy to use
Good: Large display, quick/simple/effective "stand" folds out to hold it up when desired, easy to use, counts down (to an alarm) and up (to time things). I saw some reviews saying the company does stand behind their "lifetime warranty" if you register it, which is good, and I've registered ours but hope it's not just a vehicle for them to flood me with ads and offers. The display is larger than most other timers and very clear so good readability.Notes: Timer rings for about 30-seconds when it's counted down. I see user review discussions on how loud it it: It is not exactly as advertised, that is, it is not especially loud for the purpose of hearing it in other rooms, it is average in loudness, but, it is loud enough and distinctive enough that it will be heard in adjacent rooms.Bad: Nothing so far!Overall, I think this is a very good timer, reasonably priced. I can't speak to longevity or durability, we've only had it days, but so far, so good!

One of my best purchases EVER...!
I work as a substitute teacher (grades 4-8). By the time I run errands after school then come home to make dinner, I'm beat, and have often fallen asleep in a living room chair while something's cooking. Obviously that's dangerous, particularly when I wake up to a smoke-filled apartment with the charred ruins of meat AND a broiler pan in the electric oven.I bought this timer a month ago. It's one of my best purchases ever, because the sound that comes out of it is so loud and intense, that it almost propels me out of the chair and into the kitchen. The sound it emits doesn't stop until you stop it.After putting something in the oven, I bring the Chef Amori timer into the living room with me. It's silent while it's counting down. I laugh when it goes off, because in addition to saving my dinner, the loud noise probably propels my neighbors up against a wall in their apartments. At least the neighbors won't have to deal with a fire in mine, thanks to this timer.
