I have been battling back and forth between wanting to be in occupation as an integrative psychotherapist or a psychological researcher.Regardless of which way I ultimately sway, with a love of both philosophy and psychology, and a niche for eudaimonia and existensialism, this book has been amazing to read, from the psychotherapeutic practices, to the sophisticated ideology of how death, meaninglessness, isolation and freedom affects us all and, does not have to make life less meaningful or make us dispirited by the thought of them, but make life more fruitful and worth living.

The fonts are too small!

Ein faszinierendes und umfasssendes Werk, das über die normalen Bücher zum Thema Psychotherapie hinaus geht. Irvin Yalom ist auch schriftstellerisch versiert, weshalb sein Buch sich wie ein Roman liest, jedoch trotzdem wie ein Lehrbuch verwendet werden kann.Das Buch ist sehr zu empfehlen, weil es Aspekte der therapeutischen Praxis aufzeigt, die man sonst selten findet. Die Beispiele geben eine Idee von der Anwendung der Theorie.

A terrific book. Well worth the read.
