Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Season 5 [DVD] [2018]

Admittedly some misfires en route (that half-sister anyone?), but Season 5 is another hilarious joy. 22 episodes start with Rosa and Jake in prison ( his cellmate a cannibal), end with a very special celebration (a cliffhanger in the last second).In between are moments to treasure. They range from the delightfully absurd (Holt's pie goes missing, his office cordoned off and declared a crime scene) to the more moving (a key character confessing bi-sexuality). Particularly impressive is Episode 14, a threesome with Jake and Holt striving for a breakthrough when interrogating a smug killer.As always, creators and cast are to be applauded. Critics may declare acting over the top and everything too silly for words. The rest of us will not be deterred, here a guilty pleasure that forever raises spirits.

Nine-nine! Love this show and I'm catching up with the ones I've missed. I already have the first four series in a box set and with this series as well I can honestly say that I love to watch them time and again because they make me laugh so much. A great show with quality characters that you become attached to.

Hilariously funny and entertaining. I have become emotionally attached to this show and it will always be part of my life. I’m am slowly getting more depressed each day as I progress through the series as I know it will not last for ever, that’s the only downside to this show; it’s too good, when I finish this series I am afraid I will fall into a coma to cope with the pain of having no Brooklyn 99 in my life - 20 episodes is not enough.

I loved this series for the first few seasons but found season 4 a big let-down to the point that I'd given up on it...however,having seen such positive reviews for season 5,I took a chance and bought the dvd.So pleased that I did as it really is a return to form.On its day,one of the best American sit-coms.

Love Brooklyn 99!I like having the collection ready for me anytime. Also knowing they get money to make more is good.A lot of my friends save about the show then pirate a copy of each episode.BE A GOOD FAN AND PAY!

I was slow to jump on the bandwagon with B99 but I’m so glad I did! Jake and Amy’s wedding at the end was great and there’s not a single character I don’t like - it’s like Friends, only 100% better and 100% less problematic (and there’s no Ross, which is always gonna be a winner for me).

I love this show! I’ve recently started watching it as I never have before. It’s funny but still has serious moments and doesn’t feel like it’s too far fetched. Really good writing & the all the actors are great, there’s no one I don’t like! Can’t wait for season 6 😊.

This is one of my favourite shows on Tele at the min. The scripts and cast/character dynamics are excellent. How this program was dropped I'll never know or understand. Glad it was picked up for a sixth season. And I hope there are many more. A must see!
