Cuisinox Stainless Steel Rectangular Butter Dish Silver 8" x 4.5" x 2.5"

We were tired of being scared we would break our glass butter dish, so we made the switch. It's wider than our old butter dish, so it goes further back into the door taking up wasted space, but it does fit, so that's all that matters. It holds the wider 8oz Irish butter - so that would explain the extra width. I like that the lid has a knob. It says it's 18/8 stainless steel on Amazon, but nothing on the butter dish, the box, or any packaging says that, so I hope it's true? Overall I think it's nice and it's doing its job.

It is very nice. It will hold two sticks of butter. Cleans easily. It’s not a heavy stainless steal, more like a thin metal. It does show fingerprints. It’s a little expensive for the quality but I do like it.

I love this for leaving my butter out so it is spreadable. Looks sleek and modern and cleans up well.

Keeps a stick of butter soft to spread on toast or anything that needs room temperature butter.

Disappointed with the product quality. Metal thickness was surprisingly thin. Sounds tinny and feels cheap. Wish the supplier would invest in a better quality instead of forcing junk onto the consumer in the interest of profits. China can make better products if the American companies commissioning them set higher standards and better specs - but they want to buy cheap, sell high, and make a hefty margin.

A stick of USA butter fits! Thank goodness someone posted a photo showing a regular stick of USA butter fits perfectly or I probably wouldn't have given this a try. It is impossible to see what size it is from any of the other data provided on the amazon webpage for the product, and on a previous Amazon butter dish purchase I accidentally bought a butter dish that fits British-sized butter. I don't use that size butter, though. The packaging was designed to look like Cuisinart, which is annoying. CuisinOX is NOT CuisinART. Hopefully the thin metal it is made of isn't tOXic. It is a chromed product, not brushed steel. While I would have gladly paid twice the price for a USA-made thicker brushed steel butter dish, I am happy the China came through with this. Never understood why everyone wants glass or porcelain butter dishes that break when you drop them in the sink. That's why this is getting a four star and not a three, because I am so glad there is a metal one available.

I buy cuisinox over other brands as I have always been pleased by the quality.I hoped this would be a little heavier. it is finished well and is very attractive
