Comparative Review of three products
I've used the adhesive breathing strips on occasion for a number of years. They work well unless the adhesive comes loose, but sometimes they hurt, and having to scrub my nose with soap both before and after use is a pain. I decided to try three Intra-Nasal products: the SleepRight Intra-Nasal Breathe Aid, the Rhinomed Mute Masal Dilators, and the Woody Knows Invisible Nasal Dilators. I don't snore. But when the air is dry, my nose often gets plugged up at night, and then I end up breathing through my mouth, and my tongue gets dried up, which wakes me up. Also, I had nose surgery forty years ago, and the cartilage on one side didn't heal right. This means the opening for one nostril is quite narrow. What did I discover? The Mute and the Woody Knows both offer a multiple size package, and you should definitely get that. The Woody Knows probably works great for many people, but not for me. It's best for people with big round nostrils. I tried the large size, but it was far too large. The medium same provided adequate air, but I woke up with it hurting. The small size was okay, but I felt like I wasn't getting enough air. It might work well for you, but not for me. If you have big round nostrils, this is good. The Mute is my favorite, in medium size. It's very comfortable, hardly noticeable, and works really well. The part that fits over the nasal septum is wide and doesn't touch the septum, really. I've sort of expected the Mute to fall out while I'm sleeping, but it hasn't. Still, I'm not sure I'd use this playing football. Also, it's translucent, so be careful not to misplace it.I also like the SleepRight a lot. They come in only one size, but that seems to be okay. The center piece has to be set up just right or it pinches the septum, which is a bit painful. The center part goes over the septum first, then the wings are rolled a bit and stuffed into the nose. This seems like a more secure product if you wear it during sports, and apart from that septum clip, it's pretty comfortable. These products don't keep the nasal secretions from drying out, but with the extra air flow, by lying on one side or another, I can get the secretions to drain. The great thing is that with all of these, I can sleep all night with my mouth closed, so my tongue doesn't dry out, and I don't snore, and I sleep far better and longer.

Very pleased with these--helps me stay asleep all night!
These work really well! I did not have an adjustment period-they worked for me right out the box. Once I put them in place I didn't notice them and they were not bothersome while I slept and they really helped me breathe and stay asleep all night. I have chronic allergies and have changed all my bedding, mattress, everything and but still woke up frequently at night with a stuffy nose, but not since I started using these 4 nights ago. I am an average sized female with an average size nose for my frame and they don't bother me at all unless I happen to bump my nose, I don't feel them. They are however, not discreet nor attractive to wear out in public. I did wear them to run in my neighborhood and they were amazing for that too, but I'd be self-conscious wearing them at the gym--they flare out my nostrils big time! I can't speak to their durability yet, but will post again after I have used them for a while.

Helps, only minimal discomfort
After using Breath-Right strips on & off for a couple years, I found these on Amazon and decided to give them a try. I've got them about a month ago, and I would guess I've used them for roughly 21 nights. I am still using the first one of the 3-pack. The product description said each one should last about 15 uses, and I was concerned when I bought them that they might end up not being any cheaper than the strips if the 3-pack only lasted 4-6 weeks. Since I'm about 3 weeks in and still on the 1st of 3, I'm pretty confident these will be cheaper in the long run.I'm sure anyone who's used the strips, knows they're uncomfortable to remove in the morning. I've tried generics, and those are even worse than the brand name ones. The SleepRight aid pinched a bit the first couple nights I used it, but now the discomfort is so little that I barely can tell it's there without wiggling my nose. One other thing I like about these vs. the strips, is that I can easily put it in without a mirror. With the strips, I always had to look in the mirror to make sure I put them on right. After using a mirror the first couple times, I now keep the SleepRight aid in its little case next to my bed and put it in after turning the lights out.Update 6/3/1013:After about 2.5 months, I'm still on my second one. I could have kept using the 1st when I tossed it, but I was curious how different the unused one would feel compared to the "old" one. I noticed a small difference at first, but not much. I'll probably keep using #2 (of 3) for quite a bit longer.I will say the strips do work slightly better. And on the occasional night when I know the SleepRight Aid won't cut it, I do still use a Breath-Right strip. But there's only been one or two times I've done that since getting the SleepRight Aids.
