Ridiculously hilarious
Laugh-out-loud events, warm characters, ludicrous situations, perfectly paced humour - and in well-written English too [what more could a reader want?] - a pleasure to read.

A Truly Entertaining Book
This is Dave Barry at his best. The book is funny, fast paced, and has likable characters. What more could you want? How about an orangutan named Trevor and a snake named Blossom? Throw in a very wealthy bridezilla who is great at protesting against injustices but does little to act on them, a trio of guys nicknamed "The Groom Posse" who wind up naked on the beach after a run in with some Russian strippers, a nice guy named Seth, marijuana brownies, and finally three Haitians that have washed up on the beach. There are other characters that are equally unbelievable but somehow you grow to love them. Well most of them anyway. There's also a scene where a tour boat is chasing a pirate ship that is used for children's parties. The pirate ship gets away after 'shooting' frozen chicken nuggets at the tour boat. The tourists, of course, love it.This book made me laugh a lot but there were also parts that made me want to cry. Especially the parts about the Haitian women and her two children who are literally dropped off in the ocean by men who are supposed to be taking her to safety in Florida. I only mention this to let you know it isn't merely a book full of fluff. There are several thought provoking scenes and, in my opinion, this really made the book a wonderful read. I can't wait until the next one.

Amazing
This has to be the most ridiculous and funny book ever written, could not put it down. An absolute must read.

Insanely Funny
Beware of reading this book in public: It's impossible not to laugh out loud. Hopefully Dave Barry won't wait 10 more years before he comes out with his next book.
