They are designed to be disposable after a single use, and you will be hard pressed to get multiple uses that maintain an ideal chemical reaction. As such, these economic ratings are not done by milliliters, but by price per whole vial. So the vials with more fluid in them are not necessarily a better deal. That said, some vials may be designed with an unsatisfactory amount of fluid per vial for even a single use. The best brand of OTC eye drop for dry eyes!
I'm VERY sensitive to preservatives in eye drops and have developed allergies to every Rx eye drop I've been prescribed. I don't like this form of Systane eye drop as well as the Gel eye drop that comes in the little (teeny-tiny) bottle, but at least I'm not allergic to it! I developed a super painful condition called Corneal Erosion - were the top layer of the cornea comes off or ... erodes while I sleep! It doesn't happen every night - thank goodness, but it happens often enough that I have to have a really good eye drop, and Systane is the best one I've found for this condition. Restasis didn't work for me - didn't do a doggone thing! And my eye doctor gave me an eye ointment - and didn't understand that it's not exactly the best thing to use during the day - UH, I DO have to drive, do stuff around the house, function with the kids, go up and down the stairs, SEE!!! So Systane gives me JUST the right amount of lubrication ... in my eyes for daytime use! I highly recommend to anyone with super dry eyes. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I have to reuse it hourly - which seems excessive - given the cost!

No sting! Works good!
My eyes are very sensitive to light in the morning and sometimes feel dry. My eye doctor recommended that eye drops may help with my sensitivity to light. They gave me a sample of something and I took it home excite to try it. I knew that eye drops usually stung me some but that it wouldn't be too bad. That's pretty much how those eye drops worked for me, but they did not seem to lubricate my eyes at all. In fact, they seemed to dry out my eyes more. I started doing research online to figure out the next eye drops to try. I read that they eye drops without preservatives work better on sensitive eyes, in many cases. I purchased a different brand of non-preservative eye drops and gave them a try. The best thing is there was no sting! I was really happy about that. They would moisten my eyes for a little while but didn't last very long. Then I decided to try the Systane Ultra Lubricant Eye Drops without preservatives. They also to do not sting (how awesome!) but they also work for a much long period of time. I really like the singe use vials. They are easy to carry in my purse or bring with me when I travel. They are great when flying!

Cause Grainy Feeling in Eyes
I have dry eyes and decided I should use drops. So, I ordered these online. After several uses, I've realised these drops leave a grainy feeling in my eyes. I don't want a replacement. I don't know the cause. But I'm convinced after several uses that the graininess is from the drops. Now, it could be a bad batch, or a reader could conclude I'm mistaken. However, I'm personally convinced that these drops cause my eyes to feel grainy, which scares me if such could cause worse wear than would normal conditions. I already have some damage to my corneas.Amazon is great, but in the future I'm buying my eye drops at the local drug store.Lot: 140071Exp: 2016-01The drops are not cloudy. (Package warns against use if cloudy.)I do like the individual packaging of the drops. Originally I thought these were great, until I connected the unusual graininess to the drops, which only and repeatedly resulted shortly after use, not before or without.

filmy feeling but no relief for me.
My right eye had been suffering from dryness due to the cold office A/C air blasting from above. Per doctor's recommendation, I finally decided to use eye drops. I tried Systane's Ultra Lubricant Eye Drops, but it only left my eye feeling filmy but no relief from pain. I tried another product called Allergan Refresh Plus Lubricant Eye Drops Single-Use Vials - 100 ct., and that gave me instant relief from pain without the filmy feeling. My recommendation is try to get samples from your ophthalmologist or optometrist before buying in bulk quantity.
