Indoor/Outdoor Kitchen and BBQ Dual Timer with Vibration Alert

A lot of people seem to have lofty expectations for a simple kitchen timer. Maybe I had low expectations for it... either way, I'm very happy with this product.Pros:Simple to set the correct time and the decrease buttons are very welcomed (no more going all the way to 99 to get back to 0).The vibration feature means it won't interrupt my guests if it's a classier party.Easy to read numbers (although the text and button labels are a touch hard to read for tired eyes).Two timer settings means two things cooking at once!Cons:It's not waterproof even though it's an "outdoor" timer.Some text is very small and may be hard to read for people with bad eyesight.There's no volume control that I've found. Masking tape dampens the beep a bit, but it's still pretty loud (a bonus for some I guess).Over all, as good, cheap timer with some advanced features.

does not seem to keep right time of day. not as user friendly as i had hoped, but I'm not asking a lot of it. replacing batteries is not easy.

Wonderful and compact, but the battery cover is difficult to remove. The battery cover broke the very first time I tried to replace the batteries.

Difficult to understand the instructions and to set the alarm. It worked once then the alarm went off for a single vibration every hour even when the alarm was turned off. The battery compartment was not easy to access.

I can not comment on this product function as I did not use it due to the fact it would not power up with the batteries it came with or some high quality Nickel Metal Hydride batteries I have. It did power up with new alkaline batteries though. This may be a fine product for those that don't mind the alkaline battery requirement.

use it for cooking on my TRAEGER smoker/grill. Alarm is nice and loud, also has vibrate mode or both at same time. The magnet nice as I leave it on the grill when done and I always know where it is for next time. The clip is very useful as I clip it on myself as I'm doing other things while cooking. While smoking or cooking larger cuts of meat, the timer has all the hours I need. Very handy gadget and I would recommend this.

Our current kitchen timer is the Taylor 1470 Digital Cooking Thermometer/Timer and its served us well for several years. However, last year the minute function stopped working and it seems the bendable display caused multiple shorts in the unit. It would shut off randomly in the middle of a countdown or when you were simply moving it. Therefore we've been in the market for a new timer to aid in our kitchen preparations. Enter the American Innovative Indoor/Outdoor Kitchen and BBQ Dual Timer with Vibration Alert. Here are my thoughts;Pros+ 2 different timer functions.+ Clip allows you to attach to an apron or pocket while cooking.+ Lock mode prevents timer from being accidentally reset.+ Clock and timer displays are large and easy to read.+ Alarms are loud and clear. Vibration function is also a nice edition if you need a silent alarm.+ Two AAA batteries included.Cons- Terribly small and weak magnet. It doesn't even stay attached to my fridge and constantly slides down to the floor. I have to put two other magnets below it just so it would stay on the refrigerator.- No on/off button which results in a constant drain on the AAA batteries.- My unit came without any sort of manual in the box.- Plastic construction feels cheap and could easily break from a fall on a hard surface.- No meat probe attachment. This would have been a nice addition.- Button interface can be somewhat confusing.- Made in China.The American Innovative Indoor/Outdoor Kitchen and BBQ Dual Timer with Vibration Alert for the most part does what it's supposed to. It has just enough functions to make it useful for the average kitchen. Unfortunately, it also lacks certain features (see Cons) which would have probably bumped it up another star rating. For now this timer works fine for us but unfortunately we still need to keep another with meat thermometer around for holidays when cooking turkey, chicken and hams are an annual occurrence. For the cost there are much better kitchen timers out there in the same price range so definitely shop around before deciding on purchasing this unit.
