Are these rulers ok for measuring 8.5 squares also??

I wouldn’t use it for 8.5 squares. I would just get an 8.5 ruler. The markings on this ruler aren’t really to use for anything but flying geese, but it is wonderful for flying geese. I made a whole quilt with flying geese. All the Deb Heatherly rulers are phenomenal!

Does this ruler use the "make 4 at once" method?

Yes it does. It’s a wonderful tool.

CreativeGrids.com has pretty good videos how to use the rulers.

What if you want to make a size that isn’t listed on the ruler?

The ruler is designed to make only finished block sizes listed on the ruler. They do make other rulers for Flying Geese.

Wonderful tool, must have to get perfect flying geese

I finally have perfect flying geese cuts, I also use it for floppy corners pieces. The packaging box was very satisfactory to keep corners in mint condition. I recommend 👌

Easy to use, flying geese ruler. 4 at a time! Or just 1 if you wish.

I love this ruler! Easy to use and very accurate. BTW, there's a second version that has odd number sized blocks. I am sure it is also great.
