I had to test an antique ceramic bowl for lead before giving it as a gift. I feel reassured that there is no lead in the paint after testing. The test is so simple and quick.

Bought a cool mug while traveling on vacation in Canada. The mug was manufactured in another (potentially dubious manufacturing process) country and thought about potential lead before using it. Checked it with this kit and all is good! It's better to know and be safe!

I had concerns over lead paint in our rental so I bought these to start. They read positive in multiple spots on multiple occasions. We ended up getting our rental tested by state professionals and they used XRF guns and found NO positive results at all and they test EVERYTHING. They said these tests from Amazon give false positives and negatives — so they can’t be trusted. I worry that people are using these to test vintage items at thrift stores or furniture that may be around children and they won’t actually know if there is lead or not. Beware!

Easy to use, they works as intended

Simple and way to use. Didn’t give 5 stars only because it was hard to determine the exact color result on the color scale. Gave me some confidence about whether my products had lead. (However. results from these evidently are not necessarily reliable.). But would buy again despite this.

I shop on temu frequently and saw the whole there might have lead in their products. So I tested the stuff I bought for my animals! It worked! I think? As long as my pets are safe, I don't mind if I get a little lead here and there lol

The test swabs do get the job done. But the swabs come apart and off the stick quickly even though the instructions direct you to continue rubbing it on the painted area for a while longer than it holds up.

The swabs were easy to use and they detect lead on dishes.
