Gingher Epaulette 3-1/2 Inch Embroidery Scissors

Good size, ok thumbholes. Screw/joint very stiff and hard to work. Point not as sharp/fine as I’d expect for embroidery type snips.

Love Gingher scissors. Now own five pair. They are sharp and easy to use especially for embroidery work and quilting. Make a lovely gift for crafty friends.

Excellent, sharp, high quality. The blades whistle when you close the scissors and you can tell they'll split basically any fibrous material cleanly at the mark. Pricey but absolutely worth it.

I LOVE them so much I had to hide them from my kids. I bought them for my sewing, embroidery and cross-stitch. They're perfect because they're super sharp and easily fit into even the smallest embroidery box. However, it's size and cuteness has my kids thinking that they can use them for their arts and crafts projects which usually include cardboard, construction paper and the such. Not to mention that they're extremely sharp and they can easily cut themselves.

These are not what was advertised! I am so disappointed that Amazon would allow this! I have owned Gingher scissors in the past and these are not the same. I have had these only two months and they are rusting! What a waste!

I needed a small pair of scissors when I traveled. They met all TSA requirements- need to be less than four inches from the pivot point. Worked great and I had no problems on my trip.

I like the Gingher brand scissors. I have several different pairs of the larger ones. They are sharp, can be sharpened, and some come with cases. I thought these would be "more." These feel more flimsy than some of my other "detail scissors" but they are sharp and the case is a nice bonus. I do like the two tone look and the overall design, I just wish they didn't feel so cheap, especially since I know how the big Gingher's are by comparison. I use these scissors for papercrafting and fabric detailing. I have leather and PVC that I use to craft with but these don't seem sturdy enough to use on that for detailing. These are great for threads and then fabrics.

I was disappointed in these scissors. I have a pair of orange-handled Fiskars, that I have never got on with, and these feel just the same. I didn't realise Gingher were the same company. They are sharp, but they just don't feel right in my hands. The handles are not comfortable and I don't like the way that they close or cut. I am still using my Kai 5" tailor's scissors, which are too big, to do Alabama Chanin applique with, as I prefer them to these small, specially bought let-downs. I love my Kai scissors, so am going to replace all my Fiskars with Kai over time. I think this may be a personal preference thing. Maybe the shape of one's hands? I have small hands and a strong preference for small tools.Update: Not wanting to waste such an expensive pair of scissors, I spent a concentrated hour trying to accomplish applique with these scissors and my Kai 5" trying to work out what was wrong with these. Although the points are long and sharp, the blades don't cut at the tips. They work like dressmaking shears, so you cut at the base of the blade. I need a pair that cuts at the tips, like the tailor's scissors.

I have a pair of these in each of my knitting notions bags. Good value for the money, and the Epaulette is great for protecting both the point and what it may come in contact with in your bag.

They are sharp and feel comfortable in my hand.They are pretty to look at too.
