I have been growing my hair out for three years now and in the past six months I started to struggle a lot with breakage at the end of my hair and split ends. Braiding my hair at night seemed to cause the ends that were free of the hair tie to become dry and straw-like overnight. I tried this silk cap hoping that it would keep my hair from breaking as much when worn overnight. I've used it for about a week now and I am very pleased with the results. My end breakage is down by around 90% and the ends of my hair look much less dry. It is very comfortable to wear and the elastic doesn't dig into my scalp or forehead (I wear a 7 1/4 hat size and put the cap behind my ears and wear the top up near my hairline instead of on my forehead).I did turn the cap inside out - the silk is woven in a satin weave, meaning that one side is shinier and more slippery than the other, and I wanted that side to be the one contacting my hair. It works fine, just doesn't look as good on. (Not that one can look awesome wearing a sleep cap. I told my husband if he hates it I won't wear it any more, but he seems to be amused by the entire thing.)It's quite comfortable to sleep in, and I'm a bit of a picky sleeper.Overall, very much a success, especially for the price.

Way, WAY too small. Purchased this to try and get a second day out of my curly hair. My hair is medium long and fine, never been able to do a thick braid with it so there's not that much of it. I could barely get my hair in this or get it over my head. This crushed my hair pretty tightly against my head and my curls were flattened just by putting it on. Only suitable for a child or very short hair on a very small head. Candy red is a pretty dark blush pink though and it is real silk.

I bought this cap because I wear a CPAP at night. The friction from my CPAP headgear was causing my mid-shaft hair to break in an odd way. My hair stylist suggested sewing silk/satin onto my CPAP headgear. I decided to look for a silk cap and came across this product. I have bangs and did not want something with elastic around my forehead leaving an indent in my bangs. This is a great silk cap! My hair is significantly less frizzy and I do not have to restyle my hair nearly as often! I wish someone had told me about silk caps before!

The cap is nice enough, the material is thin but sufficiently sturdy. I didn’t care for the style overmuch but I use it for around the house and sleep so that’s fine. I actually use the weird flaps of fabric to tie the cap a little more snugly on my head when I’m wearing it around the house, it helps it stay on better sincerely I have such a small head. I needed a cap to wear to protect clothes and bedding when doing oil treatments on my hair. I’ve experienced extremely dry, brittle hair as a result of a medical condition, so protecting my hair from further breakage is incredibly important. I sleep on silk pillowcases and use silk head scarves as much as possible to help prevent breakage, and so I needed something equally smooth and frictionless for the cap. Unfortunately only the outside of this cap is silky smooth. The inside feels much more scratchy, more like acetate (like the inside of really really cheap polyester satin clothes). Because of this I have my doubts about this being genuine silk. My Alaska Bear silk pillowcases are genuine mulberry silk and the inside of those cases doesn’t feel scratchy like the cap does. The inside of the pillowcases feels a little less smooth than the outside, but by no means is it scratchy feeling, so I suspect this product isn’t what it claims to be. I can’t easily wear the cap inside out because of how it’s designed, so there’s no easy way around the scratchiness and that makes it hard to want to keep using it.

Would give zero if given the option! Do not Buy if you are looking to buy a Real Silk scarf!! I received this item today and knew right away it was a cheap satin imitation of silk! I asked for a second option, and was told it was satin! Still in doubt, and in hope it was real silk and that I would be wrong I decided to perform the silk test! When I burned a piece of the silk patch that was sent it smelled of chemicals and not of burnt hair!! Also, another test to for real silk is if it Does Snag on un-smooth feet heels, where as with satin it does not snag. It also failed the second test.

I knew the price and description would be too good to be true. The cap I received was not real silk. The first hint was simply how it felt in my hands. Another way to tell if a material is real silk is to burn it and observe the smell and how it burns. Coincidentally, this cap came with a little scrap piece so I burned that and sure enough it was just a synthetic material.

My hair would always knot up at night. Now it falls out of this cap nicely and is ready to go with a quick brush. It fits tight enough to stay on my head and loose enough to be comfortable. You cannot feel it when you are sleeping. The only thing I will say is it keeps me a bit warmer than I would like, but that's what happens when you wear a cap. It isn't overwhelmingly hot though. Also you can't really feel it while you are sleeping. I really love this little jewel.

I love this. I have very curly, frizzy hair that I have to re-curl every morning for a smooth & polished look. It’s a lot of work. I read sleeping in a silk cap might cut down some of that work. Without the cap, my hair was matted, frizzy and the waves/curls were stretched out & straggly in the morning. Now, with the cap, I only have to do some minor fixes to my bangs and that’s it! No re-curling my entire head. The curls are still there and look perfect! What used to take me 20 minutes, only takes me 5 now. And I’m not burning & damaging my hair every day! I love this cap!
