Typical Chinese state of their art
This product seems to be very representative of current Chinese manufacturing. While they seem to be able to get 90 to 95 per cent of their product right, the last 5 to 10 percent is a show stopper. This isn't always the case, but I've had enough niggling problems with enough Chinese products to question the products in general. In this case I've put 20 of these slides into cabinets I've made for a bathroom remodel. Some of the slides went in without any problem, but a few, for no apparent reason gave me fits. The problems seem to be related to a very unforgiving design. If everything is aligned and square you seem to have a good shot at getting things working. However, that isn't always the case, sometimes the self closing mechanism just doesn't seem to want to work no matter what you do. Besides the alignment problems I'm having problems with premature wear on the stop mechanism, the orange part in my slides. This part probably should be made of metal as the metal part of the slide actuating the plastic stop seems to cause excessive wear. In the end I'll probably be removing the soft close mechanism and just going with the full extension slides.Update to post. I was able to get the soft close mechanism to work on the few glides that weren't working by adjusting the metal tang on the slides slightlyinward. This adjustment of the position better aligned the tang with the orange opening/closing mechanism. The drawers are still difficult to open, but cleaning off the cosmoline/grease helps. If you have the time to fool around with these glides, they do seem to work. Also a looser, rather than a tighter fit seems to make the drawers work better.

mechanism that pulls drawer shut doesn't work all the time
I bought a self closing glide from a local hardware store and it was perfect, all except the price :(. so I saw these online and they had great reviews so I bought a package of 10, I installed 4 of the slides and only 2 shut consistently and then only when I give them enough force. the one from the local hardware store is smoother, quieter, and has worked 100% of the time. I think the quality of these slides must vary greatly. unfortunately, I'd rather spend the extra $4 a slide and buy from my local hardware store than deal with these finicky slides.

Ordered same twice, but items different
We are replacing all the drawer glides to make the drawers open smoother. The 1st ten that came we installed without a problem. I was disappointed they did not have the self close as stated, but they are so much better than the old ones.We then ordered another 10 and are trying to install them. They do have the self close which made be very happy, BUT we cannot get the drawers to line up on the track to close properly. The frustration level is high so taking a break until we can call to find out why the difference and how the heck to get the drawers on the glides so the work.

Pulls too hard to open, but closes nicely.
I replaced some full extension slides on a couple of drawers that didn't seem to want to stay closed. I was a little disappointed to find out that there is not a standard for placement of the holes on the slides; I couldn't use the existing screw holes for the new slides, which is only a problem for the slide part that goes inside the drawer opening. I tried replacing only one slide, but it didn't have enough pull to close the drawer. So I installed the second slide. It works well, but takes quite a tug to get the drawer started to open (has to pull on the springs and set a latch). I'll find other uses for the remaining slides, but won't be able to replace the slides in the kitchen as I had hoped.-

Love the full extension - dislike the initial pressure needed to pull out
As I previously mentioned, these are decent and will upgrade your kitchen drawers. However, I'm not sure how to adjust the pulling force required to initially release these when you first open a drawer. I'm not even sure it's possible.....they do work ok and you will get used to it, but there has to be better options out there.

Quality is good but I'm not liking the extra force required to open the drawers just so you don't have to close them all the way. You get a little jolt after the closing mechanism is released when you open the drawer, didn't like that either. I'll go back to using the same guides but without the self closing feature.

Great value and none have broken
Better quality than the expensive ones from a custom cabinet hardware company...little more firm on the initial open of the drawer, however I prefer it in case kids come over and mess with my kitchen
