I love this light. The patterns are interesting and varied. The only negative is that it never actually turns off. You can stop the lights with the remote but as long as it has power it's on. That fan is a bit noisy so I'll have to connect this to switched power. Still worth the trouble.

I bought this for the pub-side of a night club I host a weekly event in. It really enhances performances. Our pub-room is smallish, I use this light over a maybe 16'x16' area, and it's perfect for that.The light has really great audio sensitivity. Haven't tested it on DMX controllers, yet.

While the previous reviews have been positive as a stand-alone stage light, this light would get 0 stars for DMX compatibility. First of all, the DMX polarity is reversed from pretty much any other stage light available in North America. This means that you cannot use this light with other lights on the same controller, you must use this light with a dedicated controller. Then, when you hook this light up to a dedicated controller with reverse DMX polarity, you will find that the DMX functionallity is non-existant. The poorly worded instructions are no help at all, and good luck trying to find online help. I tried 3 different Chauvet controllers and multiple different cables, all would not make this light work as intended. Strangely enough, even with this light DMX addressed at 001, it would do the same thing no matter what fixture you have selected on your controller. You cannot operate any light independantly from the others with your controller... no matter what channel you activate, this light will do the same weird brief auto thing. As a stand-alone sound-activated unit, this might be ok. If you are a little more professional and like to program your show via DMX, then give this light a pass. Even though this light has a DMX panel and DMX in/out on the back, the functionality is just not there. I am very disappointed and wil be returning this product.
