DANEKO Imported Danish Havarti, 7 oz

This is a quality havarti cheese. Smooth and creamy with the definitive havarti subtle taste. Recommend.I just bought this again and had to update my review to add a fifth star... this one tastes even better than before. I don't think there is wine in this but it had some of those strong notes. It is so flavorful and delicious. Plus, I weighted it and there was nearly an extra ounce. I need more. : )

Havarti & Gouda are my two favorite eating cheeses and I was very pleased with the delicious taste of this one. It was creamy & had a good flavor. It went very well with my cheese/meat board and everyone liked it. I enjoyed it very much. Recommend.

I ended up trying DANEKO brand of Havarti because the cheaper brand was out.I haven't been back since.Rich, creamy, flavorful and savory.Keeps for a long time, too. I've had a block in my fridge for several months open before -- but honestly, it doesn't usually last that long once I open it. In order to protect freshness, I take care to peel back the plastic only as far as I want to slice it, tuck the plastic and secure with a thick rubber binder (see photo for method). Keeps very well this way in the fridge.

This is a delicious, complex and nutty cheese that melts in your mouth. I was surprised by how good (and relatively affordable compared to other imported cheeses) it was. It arrived fresh and well sealed, and leaves US produced Havarti in the shade.

I have been looking for a good havarti cheese since I moved to another state. Most of the ones I tried were bland. After reading the reviews I decided to try this one. OMGOSH, it was so sour it tasted spoiled! That sweet tang they mentioned in the description was more of a buttermilk taste. If you like a strong cheese this is for you!I returned it!
