Great Camping Cup
I bought this cup after seeing one being used on Youtube. I know that may sound lame but it was highly recommended in the video. It also looked cool....and is Finnish. We all know, if something looks cool and made in Finland AND seen on Youtube it must be good. Right...that's what they say right....don't they?Anyway, I had been in need of a drinking vessel of some sort to take camping for quite a while. I almost bough a standard aluminum cup but after seeing the Kupilka cup I changed my mind. It seemed like a more fun option. HEY, metal or thermoplastic impregnated with wood fiber as to give a cool "wood" look, which would you want? So I went out on a limb and bought two, one for myself and the second for my brother - he thought it was neat as well, and I am really glad I did. Aside from being a great gift, the cup is lightweight, perfect size for a cup of coffee - or tea...or water...or hot chocolate...you get the idea - and again the looks are pretty cool. The cup insulates quite well and you won't burn your hands when you put hot liquid into it. Rather, it nicely warms your hands when it's cold out. Kupilka cup works equally well for oatmeal or other cereal type food stuffs. It's a little small for a cup of Ramen, but as it is quite lightweight you can always bring an aluminum cup along to put over a fire/stove for soup cooking needs and not add too much extra weight. The little hole in the handle is perfect for a small paracord lanyard, leather strap or anchor point to wrap the handle...with paracord or leather. All in all I've found it to be a great addition to my equipment list. I'd recommend Kupilka cup for anyone looking for a unique piece of kit. I wish I could write more...but it's a cup. It holds liquid - hot or cold, I like it, I recommend it, it arrived in two days with Amazon Prime...oh and it's dishwasher safe. Buy away!

Love this cup!
This has now become my everyday cup. Prior to this, i had a ceramic mug with a "manly" touch to it. it was my favorite mug until this one. I recently started getting more into bushcraft and i saw that bushcrafters would normally use a kuksa, but i just wasn't feeling comfortable using a wooden mug for my everyday beverage consumption. So...i looked up a synthetic alternative and came across this, and I'm glad i did. this cup is actually made of natural plant fibers and resin, and it's biodegradable, so it technically fits the overall theme of bushcraft. Another cool thing is that when you have a hot beverage such as tea or coffee, the mug will insulate you from the heat and it's safe to touch. it's also very durable, and just very cool. Plus, it comes with a little teaspoon, which i wasn't expecting. Now, it is on the small side so if you want something that can accommodate more of your beverage of choice, they also have a larger size.Overall, i give this item two thumbs up. It is on a pricey side as far as mugs are concerned, but compare it to a kuksa, it's actually very reasonable. Plus, this cup i think is durable enough that it will last you for many years. i highly recommend it.

Great small camp cup
What I like as camping cup. Holds heat. Doesn’t burn hands or lips like metal cup. Because of the way the handle is shaped it is easy to hold with gloves or mittens. It is durable but light.

Kupilka Cup
I like this cup. It is a fun item to have in your kit. If you are a traditional bushcrafter who prefers a wooden kuksa then you probably wouldn't like this cup, but if you're more modern then; Pros: easy to clean, dishwasher safe, will not absorb odors or flavors like wood may, won't easily crack or break, nice old world style kuksa with modern practicality.Cons: I think a little pricey for a cup, has a faint odor that does dissipate after a couple of weeks, cannot be placed anywhere near a fire like a metal cup can be, so not a versatile in that respect.

Kupilka 21 Cup
I am an avid hiker and backpacker and I bought this cup after seeing favorable reviews on some of the hiking blogs. I wanted to get a relatively inexpensive, but unique, gift for my girlfriend, as we set a $20 limit on Christmas gifts this year. I bought two, one for me and the other for my girlfriend.I have been using mine at work and getting a lot of comments along the lines of, "What in the world is that thing?" One guy said, "It looks like the kind of cup Jesus would use." It is definitely an attention getter.Don't know if I will use it for backpacking, as there are lighter options, but I have to say that I like the thing and have become quite attached to my "Jesus Cup."It is made in Finland of half pine fiber and half plastic and at first it smelled a little like wet plywood, but the smell, which never bothered me in the first place, has dissipated the more I wash it. The ladle style handle has a different feel than a finger hole, but is surprisingly functional and I am getting used to it.All in all a functional, well designed, and unique little cup (holds 8oz) that would make a great gift.

Love this cup!
It's not the lightest cup for camping and hiking, but it is the coolest. I've used this cup for many years for eating and drinking. Unlike the traditional wooden Kuksa, this cup can be washed with soap, so it can handle oily foods and milk whereas you would NEVER have any of those things in an all wood cup. I even 'branded' the bottom of the cup with the Philmont cattle brand...makes a great souvenir.

It's ok.
First off, it is definitely not worth 20 something dollars. It's looks a lot more plastic then wood in real life. You can see the mold prints from the factory on the bottom, inside and out.And this doesn't bother me at all but it smells like a camp fire... LolIt's a cool little cup but it's not worth that much dough. Save your cash and get a all wooden cup. Much better.
