I am quite pleased with this, now. At first I was disappointed — the coffee was too weak for my taste. But I experimented and eventually found a grind setting and an amount of coffee that gives me the kind of strong coffee I like. I haven't had any trouble with the little hole clogging. I wash the basket immediately after making my coffee and occasionally stick a dental brush in it. I always wet the filter with hot water before making coffee so that gives me a chance to check that water is flowing from the basket. The tiny hole is essential to the process: A bigger hole, or more holes, would result in weaker coffee. This was extremely expensive (even though I bought mine from the warehouse) so I hope it lasts several decades. It's nice to be able to make a good, single cup of coffee! --------------------- It's been over a year. This is written in September, 2025. Still no problems with the little hole. Wash the basket, people!

This coffee maker is extremely well-built. It is sturdy and simple with just one button. It makes amazing coffee one cup at a time. Way better than a Keurig.

This machine is the biggest piece of crap. I have only had it for 8 months and it clogs continuously even though I use the needle tool they provide to unclog (which is sort of ridiculous anyway considering no other pour overs have to have this tool). It doesn’t drip through to the cup and instead floods the funnel and creates a giant mess all over the counter which then requires way more time cleaning than the 4 mins it is supposed to take to brew a cup. I emailed customer service and got no response. DO NOT BUY.

Love this machine! The only downside is that it does get clogged every so often. Often enough that it comes with a small pick to help clear the clog. Typically it clogs when you aren’t paying attention and then coffee is spilling out and getting sucked back into the water spout.
