Great cooling unit for your AVR!
I had upgraded my Denon AVR and wanted to get a fan to keep my new unit running cool. My old AVR-1910 had switched AC outlets on the back of the unit that I had plugged a USB power adapter with a USB laptop cooler in and set that on top to keep things cool. The new AVR-X4500 did away with the switched AC outlets and instead have two 12v trigger inputs. I did research online and came across the Megabase cooling unit by AV Cabinet Cooling. I liked the idea that the fans would run only when the unit was on via the 12v trigger. I placed my order and the Megabase arrived a few days later. The first two pictures are of the Megabase on top of the old AVR-1910. I had already installed the AVR-X4500 in my entertainment center and was too lazy to pull it out to take new pictures. The vents on top of both units are virtually the same so you get the idea of what the Megabase looks like. The third picture is the Megabase on the AVR-X4500 inside of the entertainment center. The fans run whisper silent and keeps the Denon cool to the touch. I cannot tell they are even on from the eight to nine feet away I am on the couch from the unit. The Megabase gives me peace of mind that I don't have to worry about a buildup of heat ruining anything. In fact, this new setup was working so well that I figured I would contact Don to see if I he could sell one of his Superbase units that could be split off from the cabling that was already provided from the Megabase so that I could cool my ATT Uverse box that also runs on the warm to hot side. The fourth picture is the Uverse box by itself and the fifth picture is with a Superbase unit on it. After setting this up, I thought I would reach out to Don once more to see what he would suggest if I bought a second Superbase to cool my router that sits next to the Uverse box. Don suggested a higher powered transformer along with the second Superbase. Picture six is the Superbase on the router and picture seven is of both the Uverse box and router side by side in my entertainment center. After all is said and done, everything is running cool and quiet!Working with Don has been great! The instructions that he provides are precise and easy to follow. Don contacted me to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction. Great customer service and support! I highly recommend these units to help cool whatever AVR/electronic device that you are using. Thank you, Don!

Whats not to like.
I had a single fan unit on my older Denon AVR from ‘AV Cabinet Cooling’ for the past 6 years. It has always been reliable, effective, and QUIET. I upgraded to a new Denon AVR that has more channels and runs a little hotter than my previous unit. I also use the new AVR with a Denon rack mount adaptor. With only 2 rack space clearance above it, I felt I needed a little more cooling capability than the single fan on hand. Hence, the Megabase dual-fan cooling system was purchased. The company provided a though and informative manual with the product. Even a special key to adjust the voltage for the fan speed. I use the system incorporating a 12 volt trigger which turns the fans on and off when I power cycle the receiver. The system voltage (fan speed) was set midway giving good airflow with no detectable noise projected into the viewing room. After a few usages watching UHD discs with moderately loud Dolby Atmos volume levels, the cooling system kept everything just barely warm. If you just want to keep your expensive electronics running cooler, lasting longer, and don't need lights, numbers, apps, or higher costs of competing cooling systems, then THIS is the system to get. Well done!

Must have for your high-end receiver - great product
Same comments as the other positive reviews here. This thing is awesome. 12V trigger so it only runs when needed. High-quality fans that are whisper quiet. I run mine at the 2/3 speed setting. Keeps my Yamaha Aventage RX-A3060 running barely above room temp. If you're going to spend big bucks on a receiver, there's no reason to spend a little bit more for this device. Built well and the customer service is over the top friendly. Top-notch product.

Quick setup. Fits on top my denon x4500h
My new denon x4500h felt a little hot while watching movies so i decided to give this a try. I was excited that it worked using a 12v trigger and had 2 120mm fans!Setup took exactly 1 minute and fit nicely on top of the receiver. I set the power regulator to 6v, plugged it into the trigger out, ac adapter to the wall and was good to go!Fan noise was negligible and i could feel warm air coming from the fans. Before the fans, i measured the temp on top of the receiver around 107deg F. After i installed the fans it was 93 deg F!Awesome product. It came packaged well and directions were simple. It only covers 98% of the vents on top of my receiver but it is plenty :)

Keeps AV receiver much cooler after installing - cheap insurance for expensive electronics
Prior to installing this cooling device I was concerned that my Denon AV receiver was getting too warm and therefore would suffer a shortened lifespan. Actually 'installing' is a bit misleading as all I had to do was plug it into a 110V AC outlet, insert the 'trigger' cable into the 12V trigger port on my receiver and place the unit on top of my receiver. Manually testing by placing my hand on top of the receiver(after prolonged use) proved to me the fans were doing their job. The reason I originally bought this unit was during the research for my receiver, I noticed a number of reviews stating how hot the receiver ran and in some cases the receiver would shut down due to excessive heat levels. I'm much more at ease now that I've come to trust this cooling device. The fans are so quiet I still periodically feel the top of the receiver to confirm the cooling unit is functioning.

A must buy.
This thing works great!!! I just upgraded to a Denon 6300h and it would get very hot almost too hot to touch the top of the receiver. Now with this cooling unit the Denon stays cool to the touch and you can't even hear it. this unit is a must when running a high power receiver or amp.
