beerbongs & bentleys [VINYL]

I'm a big fan of Post Malone and I've been waiting eagerly for his new album, I was slightly concerned it wouldn't live up to the hype and be a let down after his first album Stoney...how wrong was I. The album switches from rap to heartbreak songs with ease and flows fantastically, the stand out songs for me are Rockstar, Psycho, Candy paint, Blame it on me, Takin shots, Rich and sad, Paranoid and Spoil my night. I recommend listening to Takin shots and Rich&Sad to see the variety of the album, Takin shots is a rather boastful song where as Rich & Sad is boastful in a different way, he raps about hundred thousand for the chain, having hella guap, being covered in carrots and yet he doesn't want to go home as he's in a big house all alone, he sings "I just keep on wishin that the money made you stay but you ain't never cared about that bullshit anyway" the two sides of fame and fortune. My favourite feature on the album is Swae Lee on Spoil my night, the song is a stand out for me and I'd be surprised if Post doesn't release it as a single. Over all the album is flawless, there's only two songs on the album I'm not keen on but that's down to the features not Post himself. Since buying it I've been listening to the album non stop on repeat, from the articles I've seen he's breaking streaming records both in America (was previously broken by J Cole - KOD) and worldwide which doesn't surprise me, Post has stated previously he's not a rapper and I'd agree with him, the way he pulls of different genres in one album alone proves he's so much more than that.

Loving the tunes

After the release of "Stoney", Post Malone had a hard act to follow in his second studio album but "beerbongs and bentleys" lives up to the hype. I followed the production process on XXL and was really excited to buy it as soon as it was released. Some songs do sound similar but they are good ones and Malone has proven himself to be one of the hottest artists out right now. The stand out songs and "Takin Shots" and "Psycho". Good album, an it must go down as an early contender for album of the year 2018 - highly recommended.

Purchased the CD for my son for Christmas as I bought him a CD player, purchased another post malone CD at the same time and he loves listening to them.

Waited so long for this album and well it was worth it I can listen to most songs every day. Post malone is a legend can't wait to see what he has for us next!
