Think about the price you are paying.... better alternatives offered below
This is a lot of money for what you are getting. This is basically a collection of 24 samples - there is nothing wrong with that, but if you want products of this size save some money, if you want to spend £50 or a little more get some better value.I have discussed some examples below to help people consider;- Aldi offer a wine advent calendar with 24 small bottles of wine for the same price;- For £10 more, YOU offer a much more premium set of products;- The No7 advent calendar is £8 cheaper and has better products;- The M&S calendar is £15 cheaper if you already have shopping to do there and is MUCH better;- Decléor’s box is £30 more but the products are worth over twice as much; and- the Body Shop have a range from the same price, to twice as expensive all of which offer better value for money.Hopefully this will help you find the right calendar for you.

If youre expecting to be wowed dont buy this.
Not good at all. Didnt like any of the items, feels like left over stock from glossy box birchbox. More suitable for a 12 year old.

Love it
As an avid beauty fanatic this advent calender is amazing. I thing all the colours have been tailored to try and suit everyone. As for people saying it's more suited for children is rediculous, what child wear elemis day cream and uses false eyelashes. Everything individually are good quality products they are just suited to a wide range of people :) very happy

Very poor quality and very bad value for money
I bought this as a gift and now regret ever buying it.I opened the cellophane to see what was in the boxes, wow what a disappointment.Products are samples, and many of them are just the samples you could get from any make up counter, most products are low end and do not carry a premium price.Definitely not worth the premium price. The M&S advent calendar is better quality and better value for money, just got one so that I do not have to gift this terrible purchase.Would never but again or recommend to anyone, even my enemy.Steer clear of this very poor quality and value for money item.

The cloth I received was dirty
I do like the products but I was expecting a few more full sized things. But that's not why I'm giving it 3 stars. The cloth I got with the pai cleanser was dirty. It has little black things on it as well as what looks like makeup. And two of the lip colours I got were very similar. On top of that I got a blue lipstick. A colour unrelated to Christmas and one I'd never use. It's also kinda stupid they give a conditioner without a shampoo. Other than that I do like the products but I do wish they'd give you a discount on buying a full sized version of something in the box. I also wish they gave an eye liner rather than a stamp of a heart. The way you have to think about it is your paying 2 quid for every product so would you pay 2 pound for every product if you found it at a store, not in an advent calander

Nice Christmas Gift
My wife asked for this having read elsewhere that it was a great product. It comes in a big box with 25 smaller boxes inside with different quality beauty products (so I’ve been told by my wife!). All boxes are printed with Christmas themes, it really does look the part. My wife was really chuffed making it worth getting!

Something different...
I was very kindly sent the 2018 Amazon Beauty Advent Calendar to review. My initial reaction was that is is MASSIVE. It really is a sight to behold and the packaging, whilst simply numbered boxes, is exceptionally pretty (each box is numbered 1-24, with a tasteful and feminine Christmas design on each box). It is also quite heavy (1.7kg). 24 opportunities to try trial-sized products. 24 potential new favourites... And far more exciting than a chocolate! The contents of the box are both intriguing and disappointing. I absolutely love the idea of having a different little beauty treat every day and am excited to try lots of new brands and old favourites, but also it is a shame that some of the contents don't really seem to have been given much thought - for example, you get a lipstick, a liquid lipstick and a lip cream. Brilliant - except all three are almost the same colour. It would have been far more exciting to have a red, a pink and a brown, rather than just three browns. There are also a couple of delightfully high-end products in the box, sitting alongside high-street staples... What's not to love about a Nivea lip balm and a Max Factor mascara? When compared to an Elemis product, a Simple face mask just feels cheap. Similarly for Bayliss & Harding versus Baxters of California - and that is a real shame because I enjoy all of these brands. The Calendar feels like an excellent idea that hasn't quite worked, but it is still a great idea. However, having said all of the above, I liked it enough to buy one for each of my staff as their Christmas present, because whilst it might not be 100% perfect and it may feel a little expensive for what you actually get, it's still a really great gift to receive!

HITS AND MISSES
In last year's box, I found about 3 or 4 quality products that I ended up re-ordering. The rest, I ended up giving to my young daughter to play around with. This year's is an interesting assortment but not a whole lot that I will personally use so again, they'll get passed on. There were a few brands I had never heard of but piqued my curiosity and I'm looking forward to trying them out. Overall, I feel that certain products such as false eye lashes and a product for frizzy hair is just too bespoke for my needs. I'm not sure if I'll re-order for next year. These are deluxe trial sizes which I don't have a problem with. It's just a waste if you don't use or even like the product. Some of the brands I didn't feel special enough but to be fair there is a mix, and Amazon does say the selection was based on their best-sellers.
