A simple product that will improve how u work with your iPad
I stumbled onto the Lap Pro Beanbag Lap Stand product page while browsing for useful accessories for my iPad mini. I read the positive reviews from other customers and thought that the Lap Pro might be exactly what I needed to improve how my iPad was positioned when I used it in bed. It was clear from the reviews that the Lap Pro worked well when sitting down and using your iPad mini; however, in my case, I wanted to use the Lap Pro while lying in my bed with only my head propped up with a pillow or two. At the time, my iPad mini sat on my chest when in bed, and though this was acceptable, I thought that the Lap Pro would offer more comfort and provide better support for my iPad.Upon receiving it, I tried it out and found that the positive reviews were well deserved. The beanbag has a nook where you position your iPad mini for either portrait or landscape view and then you decide how much u want to tilt your iPad back against the beanbag. I'm using it now in portrait mode and it leans back and I have my finger on the top left corner of my iPad because in portrait mode if you r typing or pushing down on icons, I find that u still need a little pressure to keep the iPad in the beanbag nook. When I'm using my iPad in the landscape mode to watch a movie or TV series, or work with an app thar needs the extra screen real estate offered in landscape mode to perform optimally, I usually do not find it necessary to hold the iPad in place with the nook on the Lap Pro. You simply need to secure the iPad into the nook and your good to go. I will say that if u increase the tilt backwards to far, it might be necessary to use a finger to counter balance the weight. This has happened only a few times, but I feel I should point it out to potential customers.I have been using the Lap Pro for about a month and I'm so fond of it that I'm planning on purchasing two more for other family members come their birthdays. You cannot go wrong with buying this product. And, as I cited at the top, it functions well while lying flat in bed. So now you know.UPDATE: It has been two months since I purchased my Lap Pro and I have bonded with it. It feels a little strange to be in bed using my iPad without my little beanbag; this happened only a couple of times but it felt different typing away or whatever I did on those occasions. I have two birthday gifts to give this month and both people r receiving the Lap Pro as their gift. Neither person currently uses anything similar to the Lap Pro but I'm optimistic they will taking a liking to it.One final thought on a somewhat related issue: I would suggest u check out the various stylus's that u can purchase to use with your iPad. I never figured myself as someone that would go for using a stylus as I had never used one in four years owning an iPhone, but I did try the Amazon Basic Stylus with multiple rubber tipped sizes for about ten bucks and it's great. It has really increased my typing speed on both the iPad and iPhone. So it may be worth a few minutes to read a few customer reviews and see if a stylus strikes a chord with u. Just a thought I am tossing out for u to mull over. I hope this review is helpful.

Nice solution!
I'm using this for full size iPad. Pillow comes overfilled and doesn't work well at first. Full size iPad tends to fall forward. Pillow will get squishier with use and will be easier to position. Great for holding iPad in your lap while reading or on the bed for watching movies. Once it loosens up then iPad can be tilted at any required angle. Will work on non-flat surfaces (lap or bed) where hard stand is useless but will also work on tabletop. Small size makes it comfortable and good for travel. Will even double as a travel pillow. Only real drawback is the lip of the handle covers the home button making it awkward to switch apps. Overall very happy with product.

Supoprt, peace, convenience -- what more could one want?
This review is from Mrs. K.L., not J.L. I had already gotten the larger version back in July 2014. It turned out to be too large for someone who no longer reads in a cross-legged position (age and back problems preclude doing that for any length of time. It got repurposed as a cat/desk pillow (see other review). This mini version turned out to perfect for reading my Nook Color in bed. I can turn the reader sideways, keep it plugged in, and rest the reader as shown in the company photo. Great for multi-tasking, such as doing my nails on a lazy weekend afternoon (look Ma, no hands). I should add that a cleverly folded towel under the pillow/beanbag helps create the perfect height and angle. One can also tuck something small into part of the handle to help keep the reader in place if you have a slippery neoprene "bumper cover", as I do. I'm still perfecting my adjustments for extensive use, as I read in bed a lot. BTW, there is a zipper opening to an inside pocket, which might prove useful. The fabric cover is the same material used in the larger version which seems to resist accumulating cat hair, etc. Bonus!Funny thing is, the pillow has a second use. When I use the larger version between my body and the edge of the desk (handle side down) to give one of our two cats a place to share body heat without blocking the exhaust from the laptop, the cat would lay his head over my left arm, and the additional weight meant my elbow was digging into the barely-padded left arm of the executive-style office chair. The chair is a little large for me anyway, but suits "JL" (my husband) just fine. I tried putting the mini bean bag Lap Pro handle side down between the left arm of the chair and my left hip, it was perfect for supporting my left arm comfortably and it was just the right height to make a more or less continuous cat-support with the larger pillow. The cat happily stayed put, which meant that when his sister jumped up onto the desk to enjoy the heat combination of the lap top exhaust and the floor lamp next to the desk, we had a "peaceable kingdom" instead of a cat spat. That also meant no put-upon human with a sore elbow, knocked-over hot vanilla chai, and a rapidly shortening temper.

Not Meant for Regular iPads
I have a similar lap log but it was starting to get worn because I use it daily. I ignored the product description because the picture was so attractive. Apparently it is supposed to fit iPad Mini and small devices.I also didn't read what it is filled with. My current one is filled with beans which makes it very adjustable. This one is made with synthetic air beads --very stiff and harder to position. I also miss having the wood dowels that kept my iPad in place.Next time, I'll read the description more carefully.

Doesn’t work
Sorry no photo. The wide carrying handle is nice. However filling of bag is too firmly packed to allow molding to fit device. Also the gap between handle and bag allows the device to slip through.

Won't hold my mini iPad in the upright position
This is a very cute beanbag lap stand but not as functional as I had hoped. I can't get my iPad down in it enough to find a good position to hold it securely. I'm constantly pushing and rearranging the beans. It has a zipper compartment which I can kind of stick my iPad down into but then I can't see the bottom of the screen. It looks to be well made and very squishy, nice material, but not what I need it for.
