Can be difficult to install-especially the left (driver) side
The right side installed very easily-however was loose. I secured it with some black RTV silicone for a tighter fit. after putting the retainer pin in, it was good. The left side is difficult to install due to the wiper arm at the end and you can't raise it up as high as the passenger side to see what you're doing. I broke off one of the retaining tabs and again used the silicone sealer on the seam to ensure a tight fit. Had to buy an extra pin @ the Ford dealer as one of them didn't secure the cowl panel well. Like to idea and appears to match the old one, just wish the driver's side wasn't such a pain to deal with.

Thank you for selling what Ford wouldn't
For the first time in 9 years my 2004 F150 looks complete thanks to these cowlends. The stock ones rotted away and like many others I drove 45 minutes to the dealership only to be told that it would be $250 because I had to buy the complete set which I promptly said "no thanks" and under my breath said some cuss words.I've been doing without since that time and while researching another part I happen to run across a forum post about these cowlends. I ordered them immediately and they arrived in a few days. Also decided to take off my faded cowls and give them a paint job with some black gloss paint. Put it all back together and my truck looks great. Thanks!

was skeptical, not now
Wow, what a difference!! Bought these for my 2006 scab after checking at the local ford dealer to find out what we all did, can't get them without buying the entire cowl assembly. Read the reviews and rolled the dice, glad I did. Put them on, haven't had any issues, didn't glue them, or silicone them as others have recommended, but they went in well, took my time to make sure I didn't pull off the retaining tabs, made sure they seated properly, nuff said, great look, easy, and cheap- ford needs to stock these!!

Like some of the other folks who bought this item
Like some of the other folks who bought this item, I hafta say the product is just average. I watched the video on YouTube of how to do this, but still ended up breaking off one of the very thin tabs on one of the pieces. They are just very delicate. I'm not sure how well they'll hold up in the weather and with the wind blowing against them.I appreciate folks who design aftermarket parts where the OEMs have left us hanging. But something a little more robust for this application would be better, and I would pay a few bucks more if you can produce a better product.

They just worked
Did what they needed to do, I added some 3M double sided tape to the back of them to hold them in place a little better since I heard people had problems with them coming off in car washes. I've run the truck through 3 car washes and they didn't wiggle

Happy customer
The product fit perfectly. I installed them myself and saved approximately $200. If I'd taken my truck to the Ford dealership nearby, it would've cost $220. Happy these were available at such a good price. Also, the quality of these is better than the ones you get on the new vehicle.
