Any experience comparing this with the Zeiss Batis 25 ?

Very similar. The Zeiss has their patented T* coating so you get a little bit warmer color, and the Zeiss is f/2 - f/22. The Sony has a little bit more natural color reproduction, 11 blade circular aperture, assignable function button, auto/manual focus switch, aperture ring with de-click option for smooth aperture transition (great for video) and the aperture range is f/1.8 - f/16. Both are excellent lenses.

Amazon wants me to wait for another 8 weeks on top of the 8 weeks (from 01/09/19) that they have previously estimated, any ideas what is the hold up?

What would the focal length be if I were to use this on the Sony a6500?

don't forget that aperture also changes by the crop factor, not just the focal length. This lens becomes a 36mm f/2.1 on a crop sensor body.

How is the lens with shooting video?

Its great! I usually set it to manual focus before I shoot. Great for low light!
