This is a very well made tool. Adjustments are precise and the pre tapped hole make for easy and solid support of the work piece.

Use an angle finder (cube is easy)Make a simple jig to hold blade in place. By extra screws from homie depot, then you can use the same Allen wrench for both screws.It doesn't have instructions, but if you do as instructed above and practice. You'll be very happy.Found a couple angles that work great. Measure angle from the back side of the jig, (insure your 90° at your belt and planten)Make sure your reading angle at top of jig, not on top but backside toward the top.80° - 85° angles give a nice grind.Make sure your blade is secured and level, also that it isn't sitting too high. Leave about 1/4"of reveal above the jig.Practice with mild steel and mix up your angles.Good luck

Well built peace.No instructions needed.Did a nice high hollow grind first time using it.

I am very interested in this product. There just aren't enough details on its operation.The youtube video is a joke.I (we) need to see this product in use before I will buy it. And, also, the finished bevels.

Once I made modifications to it, it works well. First, it does not come with any kind of instructions which requires you to watch youtube videos for details (which was difficult as I do not have cell coverage or internet at my forge). Second, as-built only works for blades with holes in the tang which meant I had to fab some clamps for my blade. Third, the turnbuckle adjustment is a little loose meaning it is really easy to accidentally adjust your angle while using as your knuckles are right on it. This would not normally be a problem except, it doesn't have any king of protractor or angle indicator on it so you have to check it periodically with a protractor or do as I did and add an angle indicator to one end so you can check it with a quick glance... That being said, material quality is good and it appears to be durable.

This ratting is basted solely on first impressions. I received the jig today, one week earlier than expected! It is beautifully constructed! The finish is of a higher quality than I expected. I’ll be writing a follow up review after I use it for a couple of times.

It was so easy to set up and made the long 7” long grind so easy!! I can’t wait to get the filing jig as well!I bought it to grind my chef knives. I love it!!

just wish there were instructions on setup, and all 3 allen wrenches should be included I feel or all the screws socketed for the same key .. nice that it does come with one, just that the bolts are 3 different sizes
