I live in a hard water area and my dishwasher goes through salt like no tomorrow. This salt is not like the granular salt I normally buy, its more chunky. Not large chunks by any means but its definitely, more chunky. I found it lasted longer and I didnt have to refuel quite as often as normal. Great product for that reason.
