My forever home
This is my first time experiencing poly gel or doing artificial nails at home. I usually go to a salon and pay $80 for a full set(I'm picky). Or I simply trim and polish my nails at home every two weeks myself. Doing my nails at home had become a preference because even when the nail tech does my nails in the way I ask, which is rare, the damage after taking them off takes months to undo. This kit is everything. I have done a totally of 6 sets of nails since receiving this kit including my young niece(not pictured, myself, my big sister and her friend. They think they were getting there nails done because it turned out so fabulous, but really they were (happy) guinea pigs. The tools are good and easy to handle. The poly gel is fun and easy to manipulate. I find that correcting flaws are as easy of a fix before going to bed, or having dinner at home, no more drives for a $5 touch up at a salon. The kit came fast with 2 day shipping. The nails are very strong, but light. I find them identical to my own nails, but less likely to break. I'm so happy I bit the bullet and finally ordered because I've been circling this purchase for a year now. I believe this kit will last for close to a year even though I do others nails, my own and I play in my kit for fun in my spare time. I will definitely order time and time again from this seller. Also you'll need a good uv lamp, cheap just make you wait longer for evenly dry nails. Maybe extra filing boards. Slip solution or alcohol. Nail decor and/ or polish is optional if you can't handle bare nails.

Really nice DIY project
I think this is great as a DIY. I have played with it and it's pretty easy to use. I put on a set three times and I had a hard time getting them to stay on. I did watch a YouTube video to see what I may have done wrong and the only thing I could think of is I didn't use alcohol to take the oil out of my nails. So I tried that step and the set seems fine but I'm also not at work atm so I'm not doing anything. I kept the nails pretty short as well. The items you need to buy in conjunction with this is a slip solution or 90% alcohol with the glass holder a few good files and buffers a decent uv dryer and maybe some coffin or stiletto nail formers that's about it. It is a money saver and those tubes seem to be able to do many sets if you use the proper amount. ...oh yeah you may want to buy a decent drill to clean underneath the nail incase you make it too thick but that's optional once you get the hang of it you can shape it well and avoid that. I also tried using the gel on top of a regular tip and it workd fine as well. But great DIY project.

Overall I like it
Super SUPER fun to use if you enjoy doing your nails. Love the adaptability and wiggle room you have with the gels. Color arrangement is nice, though final product is not exactly a match. I recommend using acetone on a brush to help spread the product without sticking. Use less gel to start with than you think you need—you can always add more.I’ve noticed the nails do not last very long, for as much of a time consuming activity as it is. Easy to take off when needed. Top gel coat is too think to spread for my preference.

Top coat not usable, otherwise looks ok
While most everything else in the package was fine, the top coat appeared to have leaked around the threads of the bottle. It was gummed up and clumpy on the threads, and the consistency of the gel itself was thick and unusable - too thick to even spread. The base coat was fine, and everything else was sealed. Just hoping the company will send a new top coat to replace the gummy one. Also, everything is so tight in the plastic inner package that I actually broke the plastic box the forms came in, though it's not a big deal as I have more, and I doubt I would use the forms that came with it anyway.

What a waste of time
I was overwhelmed by how pretty it was in the box, trying to transfer that to my nails was disaster. I've done acrylic nails for years so I figured small learning curve to do this. First it comes with no slip and it was very sticky, thought I'd try monomer one test and it wasn't any better. I went to the internet and it said alcohol 70% went down to drugstore and bought 70% alcohol add $10.00 to the price of the kit. It didn't work any better so I used a spatula to work it in the form. Managed to get it on my nails, left hand only. The gel would not harden, after 5 minutes I turned the nailed over to try hardening underneath. I tried a different light still wouldn't harden. I tried taking off the forms, one nail made it through the rest were to wet. At that point I called my daughter and he brought over her stuff. She watched as I used her stuff on my nails and she tried working with Somier. The one Somier nail last about 1 hour and fell off while washing my hands. I want my money back and my pride thought because it was higher priced it would be better, no way.

Broken tube. Please resend
The set is great comes with everything described works well. You will need rubbing alcohol. However my clear gel was broken open on the seam side of the two and leaked everywhere and I can't figure out how to close it so I am scared that that's going to be a waste I would appreciate it if the company would send me a new clear tube of the polygel

Plus and minus
Wouldn’t recommend for a beginner. The product is very sticky. It spreads ok and a plus is that it dries fast. The colors are very nice. If you know what you are doing you will be ok with this product. I was happy with the final result. Top coat was not usable. Thick and dry.

Easy to use, great value for money
This is a great product and real value for the money. I’m not a trained nail tech - more like a nail enthusiast, but right out of the box you have almost everything you need to start building nails. You do need a UV/LED lamp ( I had one from a previous product) and you need some rubbing alcohol to dampen your brush so you can mould the nails without the gel sticking to the brush. The pros refer to slip solution, which does the same thing. The colours in the box are all really nice looking and the product works as advertised. Great quality tools included, too. Polygel wasn't too thick or too thin. Really easy to use and I got great results on my very first try. I’d recommend supplementing the instructions in the box with a few video searches on YouTube for best results. Overall, would recommend this — emphatically! Great buy!

Great product!!
I love this polygel kit! The one improvement it could have is very large size moulds for girls with very large thumb nails!!

Fun, lots of potential, but hard to get right technic
Very cool product, just takes time to get the right technic. It doesnt come with the liquid, which is disapointing when buying a full begining kit. Other wise, lots of potential, works weel with my light which is not the #1 top lamp. Very strong on nails

Lacking proper directions
There were hardly any directions on how to use this product or how thick it should be or anything like that. I didn't realize I did it too thick and took forever to come off
