This stapler seems to be sturdily constructed and does a great job. I consider it to be a good value for the money.

This is an update to the review below. I was contacted by the seller who said they had improved their quality control and would like to send me a replacement stapler. I have to say - I love my new stapler! It it is smooth and easy to operate, it stays latched, and it seems like it will be sturdy and last a long time. It's a great product, especially for the cost. I'm extremely pleased with customer service and that they take pride in their product and wanted to ensure I was a satisfied customer. They are a model for how to do business -- great product combined with excellent customer service! ______________________________ Original review: I purchased this for use as a teacher. I didn't need to use it immediately, so it sat in the box for a bit. When I took it out and used it, I noticed a few problems. First, the top does not stay latched. This means that the staples will fall out easily. Second, it did not come with instructions. Now, you might think "Hey, it's a stapler - aim and push." I initially tried that and my stapled areas were coming out a mess. This is because there is this stopper (my word for it) that you can set - I assume so all your staples will be at the same distance from the edge. You can measure in inches or centimeters. It was towards the front and was preventing everything from working properly. When it is towards the front of the stapler, it prevents the stapler from closing all the way and your staples won't close (or even go through the papers all the way). Once I figured this out and slid it back, it worked better. It still just felt like it's grinding and not smooth. But it would work okay, so I figured for the money it was fine. Today, I decided to recycle the packaging and, when I double checked that nothing was in the box, a pin came tumbling out. When I slid it back into the stapler, it won't stay and simply falls out. It is part of the swivel mechanism for the top cover - maybe this is why it opens and the staples fall out - but when I put the pin in, it doesn't help. The reason I think the top doesn't stay closed seems to be more about the front end where the staples come out. I think the part that catches and latches needs to be flared out a bit more. However, I do think the pin will impact long-term stability. It's much too late for me to return. I will try to reach out to the company and update this review.

This was a life saver for me! I make a lot of booklets for my students and usually have the workroom stapler I can use. Well it is the summer and I don't have that option. This stapler has made 120 data folders (a Manila folder with 12 pages inside and is stapled like a book). It only got jammed 1 time through all 120 books with 3 staples each. I love that you can adjust the size for your projects on this stapler as well. It is strong and easy to use. It looks just like the picture as well. It is not heavy so it is easy to move when I need to move it. It is black in color and has stayed that way without scuffing.

I just used this to put together 35 copies of our church directory. The stapler functioned quite well with 2 exceptions: 1: The slide that sets the depth doesn't stay where you put it very well. I had to tape it in place. 2: The staples that came with it are weak and didn't want to go through the booklet. Thankfully I had some better staples on hand. I don't think either of these issues warranted losing a star. All in all I would buy this again if needed.

I have used up all the staples that came with it. Still works as it should dose jam every now and then, but easy to clear out. No prblem staping through thicker materials. Staples hole my mums together

Worst stapler ever. I cannot get it to stapler single staple without jamming. Very disappointed since I purchased it to make mums for my kids. I had to borrow my daughter’s kid’s stapler.

I can't speak to longevity, but I can say that this stapler did exactly what I needed for my project with not a single problem! We created devotional booklets to distribute at church, each booklet consisted of approximately 10-20 sheets of paper, depending on the booklet. We created 15 copies of each of three variations. Put them together, folded in half and used this stapler to secure at the center line. I have tried other options in the past, including using plastic comb binding. This was much quicker, more efficient, and staples are much cheaper than binding combs. The stapler worked like a charm. The only issue I had was the guide to get the pages lined up correctly. It took a few practice pages to get it in the right position (the markings don't match up well to actual paper measurements), and then I discovered that the guide would slide just a tiny bit with each use, enough that after several booklets, my staples were out of alignment. Simple solution was to put the stapler on a thick fabric placemat, which protected my table and also prevented that guide from moving, as long as I didn't move the stapler myself. The booklets turned out great! I know another reviewer thought the staples were shoddy, but I had no issues with those and found that 20 pages stapled without any hiccups. Not sure how many pages it would realistically handle, but 20 was not a problem. And after 45 booklets, the stapler was still working smoothly, never jammed once.

I am into bookbinding and had always have trouble making my notebooks/sketchbooks pages flush. Not anymore! I tried it and it came out perfect!

Works great for long papers, easy to use BUT I have had issues stapling more than a dozen pages together. About half the time the staple does go in quite right and fold all the way in the back. I have meant to run out and grab some other staples to see if that solves my problem but haven't actually gotten around to that yet. Quality seems OK. I would day mid level which is exactly the price point I was looking at (so no complaints but it's not a hidden gem of a value/price deal)
