Thanks Dr. Nay for this fantastic workbook!
Brilliant workbook! Full of insightful questions and suggestions, the workbook helps the reader go through the different issues and approaches using meaningful exercises. By using your own anger episodes, the author helps the reader work through them, understand them, and find ways of dealing with the issues in a constructive way. While anger may be justified, it should not be destructive and damaging, especially for the ones we love or work with us. Thanks Dr. Nay for this fantastic workbook!

A real keeper
This is a necessary book for your library or if you are going to research or direct anger management programs. It is CBT based and has many forms and other homework worksheets for your clients to complete. There are two basic strengths here: one, Nay has been doing this work for over 20 years. Two, the information is up-to-date and balanced with many usable observations about the major categories of anger management and anger cognitive approaches. The tone is sensible and the examples are clear and very usable to present to your group. There is also an underlying sense of humor about how human beings both process and do not process their need to both understand and change their relationship with anger. I use it to begin my talk on anger to clarify for the client what they should not cognitively do to hide from the reality of what anger is in their lives. I do not use the CBT approach however that is the majority of back chapters of the book. I believe the client has to be presented with how most of us process our relationship with anger in a cognitive fashion before they can leave that process and accept their anger as a live but not necessary component or value of their daily lives and not become fused with it at the same time. All around--great job Dr. Nay!

Excellent book
This is a useful book to work through to come to terms with anger and get ideas of how to not be ruled by it. It has a lot of practical ideas. The paper version is easier to flip back and forth in than the digital version. This is good because problems with anger tend to reoccur when you think you’ve already mastered them.
