This is an excellent set of forstner bits at a very reasonable price, if you are only looking to do small projects. Compared to named brands, you can get an entire array for the price of only 1-2 bits. If you are only doing odd jobs around the house, these will work just fine.Each piece is individually wrapped in plastic with a bit of grease, then packed into a small red plastic case. To make them easier to use, mark the case with the size with large black sharpie and make a habit of always storing the bit back in the case immediately after use.Parts are sharp out of the box. I've used about three of the bits lightly, drilling a few holes into standard pine 2x4's and a number of thin pieces of cedar and walnut using a smaller drill press. Would recommend using a standard sized drill press coupled with an automatic center punch for the best results.Overall, very glad I went with this full set, as I couldn't justify the price for one single forstner bit from the box stores. This will give me plenty of options moving forward.

Out of the box impression, they seem like quality bits, but I haven't drilled anything yet. However, I can report that they are very poorly marked with their sizes. One has two different sizes stamped on it. Another has the stamp misaligned and you can't read it.Once I get the sizes sorted, I feel like they will do the job.Also of note, although sae sizes are mentioned in the description along with a metric equivalent, these are all actually metric sizes.

I bought this set because I needed a 23mm Forstner bit for a project. The bits appear to be well made and the ones that I measured were right on the money for the diameter etched on the shaft. They come in (flimsy) little plastic cases and in a little plastic bag inside that tube. Decent enough bits - okay, they aren't Freud quality, but really, for about a buck and a half each, what do you expect? If I get a few dozen holes out of each bit, it's a big win.

Very sharp Forstner bit but entire set off by one millimeter from stamped size

If you are ok with Metric sizes, and are working with soft wood, then i believe these will work for quite a while.i purchased these for drilling into hardwood cabinetry... specifically the doors to install E.U. hinges..The two largest bits are now dull, and need sharpening. this is after a dozen oak door installations.Will need to investigate how to sharpen them. would be nice to just get the sizes separately,

A great set of bits that offer a beginner a great chance to learn woodworking. As a beginner I found these to be really helpful and useful for my projects. I'd recommend these to any beginning woodworker any day.
