I've only used this once but it seems an excellent tagine for induction hobs. I made beef for at least 6 people and the base is big enough for the gravy and vegetables. The cast iron base on an induction hob means it is really easy to control a low cooking temperature, and thus no need to drill a hole in the top to allow out steam. This is much better than the ceramic tagines, which seem to crack however you use them on open heat. Early days, but I think this is excellent

Excellent quality. Looked around for a while and reckoned this looked as good as the French version, but substantially cheaper. I have not been disappointed.You can prepare ingredients with just one pot. I’ve cooked lots more tagine recipes since I got it so that’s got to be a good thing.

This was a gift-buy. I looked at a number of tangines on the market & wanted something durable/practical/large & good-looking. This pretty much ticked all of the boxes.The base is a very very heavy cast iron - something that will literally last forever & will undoubtedly survive through to the next Millennium!!! 🤣The tangine top is a thick high-quality ceramic holed cone which is well-glazed & not brittle in any context. The Tangine, being 29cms in width was the largest within its price range that I could purchase - it states to serve 4 but I believe it would easily provide a main meat meal with accompanying sides for 6.* I’ve noted that it is possible to buy a singular Tangine ‘top’ from another seller should the worse happen & the ceramic element of the Tangine ever need replacement. Those of us with a propensity to ‘drop’ things always like to know there’s a replacement available for calamitous events!
