Inspirational
This woman is my heroine! She is so strong and yet so down to earth and still a mother through and through as this book shows us, with its snippets on buying plums for her kids on a day out to the zoo, and how she juggled studying, working and writing books and yet still be home on their return from school!I would love to read more recent stuff from her, I heard recently however that 2 of her daughters died which really saddened me as after reading this book, I really felt I knew her family well.

A few more books from Buchi Emecheta and she can be a serious candidate for the Nobel-prize for literature
I will give it 5 stars although I have not yet started it. I love the books of Buchi Emecheta and it is on top of the pile of books stocked up for the wintermonths.
