having heard 'Happy' on the airwaves for several weeks and on social media sitesI thought it's probably about time that I invested in some of Pharrells' output...Being older than your average targeted group, I remember many of the musicians and their musicwhom have influenced his creations. Sadly, his work, whilst entertaining and of it's time, are not apatch on the originals.I could name half a dozen without hesitation but, suggest listeners explore the late 60's early to mid 70'ssoul and funk musicians to find out exactly where this emanated from.'Happy' is the standout track and probably will be his signature tune for years to come, the othersare interesting 'unfinished' experiments.

I have to say on the first few listens it didn't really seem to grab me but once I gave 'GIRL' some serious time on the ear drums it became totally infectious!'Happy' is still the real stand out tune but that's not to say that the rest of the songs aren't up to scratch! The opening track 'Marilyn Monroe' is a great way to start the album with its funky bass line and catchy chorus it soon gets your feet tapping away.The next track 'Brand New' featuring Justin Timberlake has a more sleek RnB style and much like JT's 'Suit & Tie' it has the funky jazz hooks mixed with a killer horn section that give it that now familiar Pharrell sound. However I was suprised that PW had included Kelly Osborne and Miley Cyrus on the album? It almost seems as if they appear just to please the label! That said Osborne's input is minimal and if your a fan of Cyrus or a hater your'll find it hard not to like the songs.I'm not gonna bang on about every track so I'll just say they are all great but give it some time in your player. 4 Stars **** It's a grower!!

I am so disappointed in this album.I was truly looking forward to hearing it after reading and hearing such great things about Pharrell. 'Happy' is obviously the standout track, but the others, I'm not impressed. At points I felt like I was unwittingly listening to Justin Timberlake not Pharrell Williams. The tracks are samey to listen to, and I got bored.I was expecting something completely else from this album and it didn't deliver for me.

Package arrived on time well packaged Bought as a gift for a female friend who simply loves Pharrel Williams.it is never off when I call to chat. I can simply say if your a Pharrell fan I would buy it or if you know someone who is a fan buy it...but if you want to keep a friendship I would have second thoughts lol joking a side it a great buy just to see a friend Happy...

Oh my gosh, this album is amazing! I've never listened to Pharrell's music until he released Get Lucky and Happy etc recently, songs which I love. So I thought I would give his album a go. Glad I did because its brilliant! Every song is great, which is rare for me to say as usually there's at least one song on an album that I don't like. Its so hard to choose a favourite song but I do really like Marilyn Monroe and, of course, Happy.
