These seem to work great when used in combination with a bearer product, but they are great for spot treatments when you notice an active termite trail.

For years we had swarms of termites that would come out on early hot spring and fall days. I tried to spray when I saw them. But probably only kill 5%. They say kill the queen and household or you do no real damage. Well I bought the kit and put 1 or 2 spikes in each of the 3 locations where I would normally have seen the swarms. Since I put them in in March, not ONE termite has been seen….AND I’ve had to replace each of the stakes at least once which means they are eating the poison. Awesome investment. Just read the directions and be amazed.

I have installed about 20 of these around my house. Something is eating it for sure, and every now and again something pops. Not sure if it is killing termites or what, but I sure hope it is! Note that when it rains heavily, this thing has a tendency to pop up.

This product should not be the only action you take to learn where termites are and to kill as many nests as possible. But these stakes will let you know the areas in which they are active so if you have to call a professional you will know where he should focus. After my really good exterminator retired, I've been able to keep the critters from eating me out of house and home with these stakes, and I know exactly where they are active and what areas have no trace of termites.

All the fuss about water and moisture in the ground etc is nonsense. I have a backyard where there are termite tubes everywhere including on some plants. The ground is moist in various parts and is dry in other areas, I have had about 12 stakes in the ground for about a week but no issues with the red sticks sticking out, I just hope it does what it is supposed to do. I will updated my rating for the product when I see evidence of it working or not working so I can only give 3 stars as I am hoping it will work.

I have a tree in my yard that is full of termites. before removing the tree I put these around my house. All of the one closest to where the tree was have popped up flags. Very pleased!

Less than 2 months after install, 4 of the 10 stakes used has popped up. There is no sign of any kind of bug or where any kind of bug had eaten on them. Very disappointed in this product and have no faith in the product working as it should. Would not purchase again.
