Awesome!!! It really works!
Having read the other reviews, I had my concerns... But they were completely unfounded. It was easy to install on my hook & worked like a charm!First, the orientation (yes, there is a right & wrong way for it to go on) should be that the larger part of the shield is on top (see video). If you have it the other way, it won't work.Second, it took me 10 seconds to get it on. I threaded the hook through it and with no more trouble than putting on socks, was able to get the silicone around the top of the dough hook.Third, I used it in a 5qt bowl with 500g flour (+ liquids & yeast) to make a loaf and it did it's job great! I had to pull down the dough a couple of times, but the dough *never* went over the shield! Amazing!!!I would 100% but this again!

Keeps Batters Out!
Its hard to put on. Once it on will not take off again. That’s how hard it is.But LOVE the batter and ingredients doesn’t get in the opening. Easy clean up of mixer.

Slips out of position too easily
When kneading, the dough pushes the cover out of place and defeats its whole purpose of holding the dough back from engulfing the mixer shaft.It needs to be stiffer and the inner diameter smaller so it holds on better.

Really hard to get it on!! But works great.
I like it, it does keep dough from climbing up the hook to the mixer itself. Works well and fits very tight.It is very hard to install. I have a touch of arthritis and almost gave up. Once it’s on, don’t plan on taking it on and off to clean.So clean it well immediately after using. I haven’t had any tough work its way under it, but I check closely and clean it very well.Great but, well worth the money.

Fits Artisan Mini
I can confirm it fits the KitchenAid Artisan Mini (3.5 Quart) mixer, which is exactly what I've been looking for. It's not too difficult to get on; I did have to double-check the preview image to know I had it correct side up (the lip should tilt upwards), but it took me maybe 30s all together.I'd been hand kneading my bread because the hassle of the dough climbing the C-hook and so I very much look forward to being able to use my mixer now.
