Enhanced my life in the city
I lived in Cairo during the summer and fall of 2009 and this book greatly enhanced my experience of the city. While this book mainly deals with the high-end restaurants and stores, most locals recommend these sites as places an ex-pat should go while living there. I have now bought 3 more wallpaper guides hoping they direct me in a similar fashion!

Save your money; this book is nearly useless.
This book is overly obscure. While it highlights some places worth visiting, it tends to direct the reader to marginally interesting places.

Love Wallpaper guides - very stylish
Love Wallpaper guides - very stylish. Love the design, the physical size of the books and the way they break up the maps into colour-coded districts.

Style over substance
I bought this for a change because it was small and light, and my usual Dorling Kindersleys weigh a ton after carting them around for a week! However, I won't be buying any more. Apart from the handy blank pages for notes, this book hardly told me anything, and instead wasted what pages it had on a double spread of the sports stadium and a couple of elite bars! This really confirmed my suspicions that Wallpaper* is a concept for those who aren't interested in history or intellect but how trendy their shoes and sunglasses are. A completely wasted opportunity - I ended up buying another guide and leaving this one in the hotel room.
