Vantrue New N4S 3 CH Dash Cam

This is my fourth camera from this brand, and it keeps getting better. Having three cameras covering the front, inside, and rear gives complete peace of mind. The video is super clear, making it easy to read license plates. The hands-free voice control is a huge bonus—I can protect clips or adjust settings without taking my eyes off the road. Setup was painless, and app downloads are easy. It’s reliable, packed with features, and well worth the money.

I’m extremely impressed with the Vantrue N4S 2.7K 3-Channel Dash Cam. The three-camera setup is one of my favorite features because it provides excellent coverage of the front, rear, and inside of the vehicle. It gives me much greater peace of mind knowing that there is comprehensive video coverage from multiple angles. The 2.7K front camera produces very clear and detailed footage, and the video quality is excellent both during the day and at night. The rear camera adds great additional coverage, while the interior camera is a fantastic feature for monitoring the inside of the vehicle. The overall build quality feels premium and durable, and the camera has a clean, professional design. Installation was straightforward, and once everything was set up, the camera worked seamlessly. I also really like the parking mode and GPS functionality, which add even more value and protection. The recording starts automatically, and the system is easy to operate. Being able to review footage and have important driving events recorded gives me a lot of confidence on the road. Overall, this is an excellent dash cam with impressive video quality, great coverage, useful features, and a premium feel. The three-channel recording is a major advantage, and I’m very happy with the purchase. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality dash cam with comprehensive coverage!

I’ve been using the Vantrue N4S for a bit now, and honestly, it’s been awesome. The video quality is super clear on all three cameras, day or night, and I love knowing everything around my car is being recorded. The night vision is way better than I expected, and the PlatePix feature actually does make license plates easier to read. Setup was pretty simple, and the magnetic mount is super handy. The app is fast, the WiFi transfer is quick, and the whole thing just works without me having to mess with it. It gives me a lot of peace of mind whether I’m driving or parked. If you’re thinking about getting a dash cam, this one’s totally worth it. Pros: • Great video quality on all three cameras — front, inside, and rear look super clear. Auto exposure works great. • Excellent night vision, especially with the STARVIS 2 sensor and HDR. • PlatePix™ actually works, making license plates easier to read in motion or low light. • Easy setup with the magnetic mount and simple wiring. • Fast WiFi transfers thanks to 5GHz support. • Solid app experience for reviewing clips and changing settings. • Voice control is surprisingly handy for saving clips without touching anything. • Feels well‑built and handles heat better than many dash cams. • Cons: • No suction mount included (it uses adhesive by default). • Can get warm during long drives (pretty normal for multi‑channel cams). • WiFi connection may be finicky depending on your phone. • Takes a big memory card if you want to keep lots of footage (up to 1TB).

First this is the only brand of Dash Cam I have ever bought, the reason being that they are the top choice for rideshare driver and since then it have become the gold standard of dashcam. Why? Their customer service is amazing, their product is top of the line, and every piece just work together very nicely and I never had any issues using them. Before this N4S I was using their E360 dashcam which is nice and innovating at the time, however I still enjoy the horizontal screen on dashcam more, this is where the N4S comes in as an upgrade from my previous N4 Pro which is already great. The N4S is an upgrade of the N4 pro in all aspect, higher resolution and support higher memory card storage. Since I have the 12v hardwire already setup in my car, all I had to do is redo the wire a little and easy to mount the new dash cam to the windshield. The dash cam also come with a rear camera which also have very good resolution. I love that the connection for the dash cam itself have GPS built in, the connectivity of the dash cam itself is very simple and it use usb-c connection, as far as power goes, with the 12v hardwire I never have to worry about using the cigarette port because I like my wire hidden, and whenever i start the car it comes right on and when its off it will detect motion impact. I love that the resolution is very clear on 3 channel, this is the most important in terms of dash cam when you need to have clear details if something happen to the car. The dash cam comes with everything you need in the box for setup, its great value for money you can get on dash cam. The quality of the camera is solid, very nice built, and when I power on the first time it already have the latest firmware installed. There are many other dash cam out there, but I believe this N4S 3 Channel Dash Cam is great for everyone, it have all the features you need for a dash cam. I highly recommend this brand and this dash cam

Replaced my original Vantrue dash cam with the N4S 3 channel. Unfortunately, the performance from the N4S falls short in two areas for me. The first is overheating and shutting down in mild spring weather. Temperatures around 60 to 75 degrees fahrenheit. The resolution settings are at 1440+1080+1440, which is middle of the road for what is offered. I’ve tried the lowest resolution setting and the results are the same. The screen shows an orange box stating that the dash cam is too hot and will not work until it reaches a safe operating temperature. When the dash cam overheats, happens almost everyday, it will not reach a safe temperature and is pretty much useless until I get home and park inside my garage. With the AC on max, recording on a low resolution setting, and trying to use only the front and rear cams, I get the same result… overheating. I’ve also tried just running the dash cam alone and unplugging the rear cams and it still overheats. All cables are from Vantrue and I’ve tried Anker usb-c cables but again the result is overheating. The second issue is the type of micro sd you have to use. I’ve only had luck with a sandisk express. I’ve tried several memory cards with near identical write and read speeds to the sandisk but those cards are too slow. Regardless of the resolution, outside temps, and only using front and rear cams, I see a prompt that says card is too slow. You’ll most likely have to upgrade your micro sd card so account for that in the total price for this dashcam. $209 for the N4S and $90 for the sandisk express micro sd just to have an overheating or card issue. Sorry, only a one star rating because I expected another great dash cam from Vantrue. Not sure what happened with the N4S but it looks like these are known issues with no real solutions. I should’ve researched a bit more instead of just trusting Vantrue. They missed the mark and a lot of wasted time for me trying to make this dash cam work.

The N4S actually delivers impressive overall video quality, especially in low-light/nighttime conditions. The exposure handling and sharpness for general surroundings, traffic scenes, and potential impact evidence are solid. However, I originally bought this expecting their "PlatePix" marketing to reliably capture moving license plates. In real-world driving—especially in areas like Puerto Rico where plates are only on the rear of vehicles and traffic is constantly moving—it still struggles. If both vehicles are stopped at a red light, you’ll read the plate clearly. But at normal driving speeds, motion blur still makes license plates hard to read. The Bottom Line: While it won't magically capture moving plates in every scenario, it is still a high-quality dash cam with great night vision and surrounding coverage. If overall image clarity and night performance are your main priorities, it's a solid choice. Raised my rating to 4 stars!

The installation is very straightforward and easy to do. It includes everything you need for proper installation. The mount of the main dash cam is not adjustable, which I thought was going to be an issue at first, but it was not needed. The wide angle view is actually amazing and far exceeded my expectations! I installed mine directly behind my rear view mirror as seen in the picture. The only thing you will need is an SD card. I like that it gives you the option to which cameras you wish to record with in the menu of the camera and you can even toggle which camera view you want to see full screen on the device. This dash cam has all the features I was looking for plus more, so in my opinion, it is a very good buy! Also, if you do not wish to use the provided 12v power adapter for the camera, you can buy a hard wire kit for a much cleaner installation.

I’ve been using the Vantrue New N4S 3-Channel Dash Cam for a couple of weeks now, and it is easily one of the best upgrades I’ve ever made for my vehicle. If you want true 360-degree coverage and complete peace of mind while driving or parked, this is the system to get. What Makes It Stand Out: Unbelievable Video Clarity: The 3K resolution on the front camera paired with the dual feeds for the cabin and rear is incredibly sharp. It balances bright spots and shadows beautifully using HDR, making it surprisingly easy to read license plates even in low-light conditions or on dark roads. True 3-Channel Security: Having simultaneous recording for the front, interior, and rear means there are absolutely no blind spots. The interior camera is great for keeping an eye on the cabin, and the IR night vision works flawlessly in pitch-black conditions. Blazing Fast Transfers: The built-in 5GHz Wi-Fi is a game-changer. Downloading clips directly to my phone via the Vantrue app is quick, smooth, and hassle-free, saving me from having to constantly pull out the memory card. Reliable Build & Super Capacitor: Instead of a cheap lithium battery that risks overheating in a hot car, it uses a super capacitor. It gives me a lot of confidence that it will handle extreme summer heat and winter cold without deteriorating. The Verdict: The installation takes a little bit of time if you want to tuck the wires away neatly, but the manual is straightforward and easy to follow. It feels like a premium, top-tier product through and through. Don't settle for a cheap budget camera that will fail when you actually need the evidence—this one is worth every penny!

I recently purchased the Vantrue N4S for my wife’s vehicle, and I’m very impressed with the quality. The video quality is excellent—clear, sharp, and detailed, and in my experience, it’s among the best I’ve seen in a dash cam. I’ve personally been using the Vantrue N5 since 2023, and my experience with it gave me the confidence to choose Vantrue again for my wife’s vehicle. The N4S has definitely lived up to my expectations. If you’re looking for a high-quality dash cam that offers great value for your money, I would definitely recommend Vantrue. You really can’t go wrong with their cameras! 👍 Highly recommended!

A friend recommended this dashcam to me, and I’m honestly so glad I listened. The image and video quality are absolutely amazing super sharp and clear. I’m incredibly happy with how it performs. I highly recommend it to everyone!

I’ve tested a handful of dash cams over the years, but the Vantrue N4S (RC18) is easily the most complete and confidence‑boosting setup I’ve installed in my vehicle. If you want full coverage without fuss, this is the one to beat. 🚗 Crystal‑Clear Footage From All Angles The video quality is outstanding. The front camera captures crisp, detailed footage day and night, the interior cam is perfect for rideshare or added cabin security, and the rear camera eliminates blind spots with surprisingly sharp clarity. Even in low‑light conditions, the night vision holds up better than expected. 🔧 Straightforward Installation Vantrue includes everything you need, and the cable lengths are generous. Routing the rear camera wire took a bit of patience, but once everything was in place, the system powered up flawlessly. The menus are intuitive, and the setup process is refreshingly simple. 🛡️ Reliable Parking Mode & Smart Features The parking mode is a standout. Motion detection and impact triggers work exactly as advertised, giving me peace of mind when my car is parked overnight. The G‑sensor sensitivity is well‑tuned, and loop recording ensures I never have to worry about storage management. 🔥 Built for Canadian Weather Living in a climate with hot summers and cold winters, I appreciate that the N4S handles temperature swings without glitching or shutting down. The build quality feels premium and durable. 📦 Final Verdict If you’re looking for a true 3‑channel dash cam that delivers excellent video quality, dependable features, and a clean, professional setup, the Vantrue N4S is a fantastic investment. It’s one of those products that immediately makes your vehicle feel more protected.

Great product...you get what you pay for!
