I got these to make mini suncatchers for Christmas gifts. I designed a lighter weight version and a heavier one and they hold up great. Not one of them failed yet. This is a picture of the lighter weight one. I used brass rings. The heaviest ring was about 40% bigger than the ones used here - I was worried they'd be too heavy for these little suction cups but they stayed suctioned. I wet them first a tiny bit before pushing them on the glass.

These suction cups are surprisingly strong and versatile. The built-in pull point makes removal easy, which I thought was a nice touch. I’ve used them to hang a heavy shirt for over an hour with no problem, and the loops can hold plastic hangers, zip ties, string, or even Christmas lights when used in groups. A few did fall off a mirror and a clean window overnight, so longevity may depend on the surface and prep—cleaning the glass thoroughly and lightly dampening the cups should improve hold. Still, at this price, they’re very useful for a variety of tasks.
