New Replacement Non Ticking Quartz (Sweep) Clock Movement Mechanism Motor - DIY - Fittings - Various Sizes (Extra Long - Gold Thread 20mm - Total length 27mm)

Bought for a clock I'd made with a thick resin trivet. Bit of a fiddle to install and kind of awkward to set the time, but once set up you won't notice it. I hate ticking clocks, but this is very quiet, only hear it when literally nothing else in the house is on. The little noise it does make is more of a continuous grindy noise but not annoying.Has been keeping time well for about 8 months so far, but it's an abstract face so it's just for an indication of time.

Ordered with new hands all came within two days. They came with full instructions and fitted easy. Look great and work well.

The product seems fine and installs the same way as the mechanism it is replacing, but is the wrong size. It was labelled up as 27mm total length, but what arrived is considerably shorter and not fit for my purpose, so I have returned and re-purchased in the hope the new one is the correct size.

Like the smooth movement of the second hand, and after several weeks, still no need to adjust time, so very happy.

This is not a sweep mechanism as claimed. A sweep mechanism is a silent, constant movement of the second hand. This moves every second and so it ticks. It is quiet but it ticks, and when up on a wall it is audible.

I ordered 1 and it didn’t work at all. The second one has lasted 2 months but is now 2hours behind. The battery is fine.
