Review: handy little keyboard that works on many devices 2.4ghz or bluetooth - I like these little keyboards for controlling the computer when I'm all comfy in the easy chair and don't want to get up to change the video or adjust volume etc. I already have two of these and they still work great but the difference is they have the old mini usb and micro usb charging ports and most of the devices I have at my desk use usb C so rather than keeping adapters and multi cables around I have been replacing old stuff with the latest versions that have been upgraded to usb C connectors. This unit has just about every button you could want other than dedicated mouse buttons like my fosman unit has, that one is still my favorite keyboard but it is only bluetooth so that does take a star off that one because it can only connect one way. This unit has media buttons that you don't have to press FN to use and an extra large backspace button. When I took it out of the box I plugged it into my USB C phone charger. Bluetooth pairing is easy, press FN, Shift and Tab to enter pair mode then pair to your pc or laptop etc. Over an hour later the charging light is still on not sure if that's a problem or it's just a really good sized battery, only time will tell. This unit supposedly has the capability to adjust the dpi of the touch pad but the default setting is quite adequate. You can also "flip" the touchpad which again is probably not something I'll ever use. Had this for a bit now, the charging light never seems to go out when plugged into a charger, don't know if this is a defect but it otherwise works fine and it hasn't just "quit" working yet (as if the battery died) so I'm just not going to worry about it. If I use it a lot I plug it in for an hour or two every week seems to be sufficient. Review: Very handy and easy to use. - This product is very handy. I use it to control my computer from by bed when I'm watching movies. Connects easily. It's easy to use and see in the dark. The battery seems to last a long time. Good product.

Good for ease of use.
Feels cheap initially, but it operates fantastically. Has great battery life and is lightweight. Instructions are shoddy, but get the point across. The buttons aren't ergonomic, and the scrolling function is extremely sensitive.

BT Issue on Android: Consumer control vs. physical keyboard priority on Android (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
I purchased this item only for use on my Galaxy s22 Ultra Android phone. I wanted a physical keyboard with mouse pointer and right-click functionality for light web development and word processing on the go without carrying around a tablet or laptop, or separate display to activate Samsung DeX. I immediately encountered a problem after I went into my phone settings to turn off "show on-screen keyboard" when a physical keyboard is connected. I double checked every setting I could and no matter what, when I would go to type in anywhere, the on-screen keyboard kept popping up! With Gboard, Samsung keyboard, I went through every setting I could. I tried every trick I could, I cleared every cache and rebooted. The issue that I discovered is that the phone is recognizing the "A8" as a consumer control media device first with the keyboard functionality as the lowest priority. So although it can still work to type, the firmware of the device is forcing the phone to see it as consumer control media input (touchpad and other buttons) instead of prioritizing it as a keyboard first. I'm not sure if it's just my phone model being the S22 Ultra, maybe newer Samsung models know how to handle the pairing of a device like this, but this was unfortunately a deal breaker for me and I have to return the product after barely even using it. Three-star rating because the device DOES work, and the idea is great, but there is still just something going on with either my device or the "A8" device to not prioritize the keyboard before the consumer control and always forcing the on-screen keyboard to always pop up even when the "A8" device is connected and all of the on-screen keyboard settings are turned off for a physical keyboard. The other weird part is that even though it's listed in my Bluetooth devices as "consumer control", it does still activate the physical keyboard settings within my Android's general language settings area.

Looks like the rii... is NOT the rii. (read edit)
15 years ago I bought an IDENTICAL keyboard call the "rii mini keyboard." I used it as a "tv remote" for 2 years. It was excellent! The range was decent, like 30 feet. The backlight was bright. The battery lasted for almost 4 days under heavy use. The buttons were nice and clicky. The trackpad was small but EXTREMELY accurate. It even had double touch gestures. Now onto THIS keyboard. This keyboard... is NOT that keyboard. It looks IDENTICAL, but that's it! NOTHING about this keyboard is even CLOSE to that keyboard. 1. The buttons mistype constantly. Double and triple pressing some buttons or ignoring button presses out right. 2. The backlight is uneven to the point where in the dark some buttons are hard to see. 3. The range is terrible. RF range is like 10 feet... IF you hold it wrong it loses connection for a split second. BT range is MAYBE 5 feet... if you beg it nicely. 4. The battery life. Standby is like a week. Neat. With use... 19 hours to a full day. 5. If you think those were bad... brother hold on. The track pad... If I can even get away with calling it that. Is so bad. it takes me literally 20+ seconds to press the down button under the scroll bar in chrome.. Its like there is a built in TROLLING feature in this track pad. If you get close to the thing you want to click on... *boom!!* it hops over it. You try to go back to it... *BOOM!!!* it hops over it the opposite way. I have almost smashed this thing 100 times in the few weeks I have owned this. I wasn't even going to write this review because I don't like leaving 100% negative reviews. But this track pad pushed me over the edge. How can a trackpad be worse than the early 90s pencil eraser nubbin? EDIT 5/15/26 After leaving the review I was contacted by the sellers and immediately offered a full refund. There was no small talk, no waffling, straight to business, "Hey I heard you had a bad time with our product. Would you like a refund?" EXCELLENT. Even Amazon directly doesn't operate this smoothly. I mean I still had to eat the shipping cost. But it comes with the territory of online shopping. I'll change my score from 1 star to 2. They didn't ask me to... It's strictly out of my respect for them doing the customer service thing right. (try the product at your own risk, with the understanding that if you get a lemon like I did, the seller will treat you right.)
