I was pleasantly surprised
I live in Minnesota and this year we've had the coldest winter in quite some time. I've been on several -20*F campouts with this tent now and I like it a lot. The first time out it was difficult to set up even though I set it up at home twice prior to going out. After 4 camp outs it's a breeze. It is heavier than what I'm used to for a 2 person tent but I've always used a 3 season 2 person tent. For an extreme weather tent I think the weight is very reasonable. The extra weight would be tricky but do-able on long backpack hikes in. In winter here, I usually haul my gear in on sled so this is not an issue. It vents very well. If you tether it down it does not flap (tighten down the adjustable straps) If you face it the right direction, you can minimalize any flapping to begin with. I love that the vestibule is big enough to cook in (excellent design). I also like that you can stay in the vestibule to pee just by opening the zipper as needed (mind you, I am male). If you do extreme cold camping you will know that your body tries to expel any extra fluid so it doesn't waste energy to keep it warm- this means that you usually will need to pee in the middle of the night. I would imagine that there is enough room for a woman to use the vestibule in snow pack as well. Just exit on the opposite side of the tent in the morning.Tons of pockets and hangers to place gear or dry off clothes. The things that don't work well on the tent:The window flap doesn't actually go back far enough to meet the tie off nub so it just hangs when open. The stakes are difficult to drive into frozen earth. They will go into pocked ice with a good hammer. The footprint does not snap onto the tent so it is very difficult to keep stationed under the tent when pitching in high winds( I actually tied them together with the corner grommets to solve the problem)Other than that, bravo! I love it!

probably deserves 5 stars but i'm kinda picky
Very spacious for a 2 person tent. Very well constructed. Has kept me dry with no condensation problems (properly vented) in single digit conditions. Zippers work great without catching no matter how carelessly i open and close them.A bit tougher to set up then some other tents but no problems doing it myself with gloves on.Few pounds more than ideal for backpacking. If you don't tie down all the ropes it's very noisy in the wind. Maybe bring some extra ropes.Stakes are kinda neat but one bent on me first time out. Got some hefty replacements. (as i've had to do for all my tents) 5 years UPDATE:. 5 Stars!!! haven't had a singe problem with Zippers, Stiching, or Rain. not even using the proper footprint!! heheWant to add that this tent has so many wall pockets that you can unpack your bag and have NOTHING on the floor. i even keep some cookware in a pocket! amazing tent. if they could only silence those clips in the wind.... ear plugs..
